I've always wondered why the NCAA/AVCA hasn't purchased those to at least use for the Final Four? For example, the VNL finals for men were in Chicago, but I imagine those cameras were provided by the FIVB. I would hope they would at least invest in those for the tournament at least. I know, how long has that tech been around? A long time. At least they have MORE cameras now, now that they moved to one court. Trying to call lines from the wrong side of the court was ridiculous.

One you cannot see with the naked eye. I see no point in rewarding luck. If you use bad replay cameras and you can't see one in 30 seconds, there was no touch. Too often, refs are assuming there was a touch. IMO. This is also the problem with pancakes. Too often it is all but impossible to see if NO part of the ball contacted the floor. I think the pancake is a lazy defensive move meant to fool the refs. I say if the hand is in contact with the floor, it's down. I don't understand why they can't get the better camera equipment for at least the tournament. FIVB replays work quite well, actually, even for touches (mostly). Because they're expensive. FIVB uses the Hawkeye system for in/outs. That costs over $30,000 for a week. The touches/other calls require specific cameras/systems to use. FIVB has the sponsors/funds to cover it... the ncaa doesnt... i mean we used a convention center for their biggest tournament

I'm happy for the time we had Adanna Rollins on the Gopher squad. She really showed us what hard work can do. I will still root for her, whichever team she joins. She had some really nice moments in her time here. Always had to battle being an undersized hitter in the Big Ten. She’d looked up to the older gophers since she was in like 9th grade too. True and blue (or maroon) gopher. That being said, I’m really excited that this provides Wenaas an opportunity to be a 6 rotation player on the left side immediately. Keeping her is so important to this team’s future, especially as it continues to add more blue chip talent such as Wucherer, Booth, Hanson and others in the coming seasons.

Already had one carpetbagger who couldn't beat out a Gopher go there.

True. Grad student transfer with two years of eligibility. Minnesota has no 2022 scholies available, I believe. So let's not read more into this than there is. Why wouldn't MN have a 2022 scholarship for her? When she signed her graduation year would have been 2022. No, she would be a senior in 2021.

Well, if she stayed, my understanding is that going forward that the school can provide scholarships to super-seniors without counting against the limit, provided they had that scholarship the year before.
Or is that only a one time exception for 2021-22 school year?

Except her and Stephanie Samedy unfollowed each other on social media. Samedy also unfollowed Landfair. Seems odd to me. So Samedy is gone as well, then?
That is has been widely speculated.
I hope Pittman comes back. And I hope Myers gets healthy.

I think I'd really be worried for you if that would happen.

I think that's what always kinda rubbed me the wrong way with the Barnes transfer. I would have rooted for her at any other school, but to transfer to our main vb rival? I'm sure I'll be attacked for saying that. I don't care.

Samedy just posted an instagram story congratulating Landfair on her HM All-America honors like 45 minutes ago. There’s no bad blood there 😃

Or is that only a one time exception for 2021-22 school year? One year exception in 2021 for # of scholies. They can give her one in 2022 if they had one available. They don't. I have no idea if that would have made a difference in her decision. This extra year is going to provide a lot of athletes the opportunity to explore opportunities at other schools -- athletically and academically.

We may be looking at a 5th or 6th place B1G team this fall.
