Eggleston in particular seems totally unbothered when things go momentarily south. Like in a good way

How is Texas's mental toughness? Can they shake off mistakes and keep one error from becoming 2 or 3? Did any of that happen in their loss to Rice (honestly asking, I did not see that match)? I think the fourth and decisive set against Nebraska the other day is a good example of Texas shaking off mistakes. Got down 13-8 due to some tough Nebraska serving, and our own passing breakdowns. But, we re-focused after a timeout and went on our own run to re-gain a 15-14 lead that we never relinquished.
While that's just one example, it came at a crucial time in the match and the season.

Well, I think Texas just got some great additional motivation.

People have trouble with her... positive attitude? I swear people gripe about Texas players when they mean-mug across the net, and they gripe when they shake it off and move on to the next play.

Haha c'mon now, you know how people are on this damn platform. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I won't state the obvious as to why some players get flack and some don't.

Was watching the game with a couple of friends and one said that when she does her little smile/shrug when she makes a mistake it makes it seem like doesn’t take it serious....😐

I'll be interested to see if Texas can slow down Robinson. Both in the middle and on the left this will be the biggest block she's seen so far as far as I can tell. That could be a big key to the match imo.

That could be a big key to the match imo. one big thing with slowing down Robinson is serving. Wisconsin rarely goes to her OOS, so if they can even limit her attempts through tough serving that will go a long way I think. Then having Fields or Eggelston in front will probably just add to it. Conversely, it will be interesting to see if Robinson can create problems for whichever Texas outside she’s matched up against. In a way, Robinson could very much be the x factor

I think this match is going to be very interesting for a few reasons.
Texas has the time and experience on their side. Almost double the matches Wisco has, got to play with lineups and see what works and what they can do when desperate.
Also, the tournament has looked a lot more solid on Texas' end than Wisco's. The five setter against Florida was somewhat surprising to me. Wisco was held to a .153 clip and was out blocked by UF. Texas has not only superb blocking, better than Florida's but they also have the better offensive weapons than florida. Their pins, if out of system are better than Wisco's. If texas can keep Hilley off of the net and force the pins, bam. If Texas stays remotely in system too, even worse for wisco.
Also, COVID hit Wisco pretty hard. In particular, Dana just told USAV Podcast that she had covid herself. Makes sense because she looked winded against Florida. CAPITALIZE on that. Get scrappy texas and finish the long rallies.
IMO, this match is going to depend on the performance of the pins on both sides. Loberg and Haggerty are going to need to play out of their minds to get texas off and Texas' pins are going to need to be shut down or severely slowed down for Wisco to be at ease. Middles are pretty equal imo.

I don't think I've ever seen "Wisco".

Loberg is the X-factor for the badgers. If she performs as she can and has against top competition, the badgers become an entirely different proposition.
The badgers were making a ton of errors they don't normally make against Florida. The block had something to do with that, for sure, but there were also quite a few times they just seemed rushed and got under swings that went long. Several times Loberg hit really sad tips or rolls shots into the Florida block.
It felt to me like a really nervous performance. Something we used to see periodically, but which we haven't seen much from the badgers since early 2019. The lack of tight games against good competition might have something to do with that. Maybe getting through a 5 setter where you get really tested will give them some confidence.
The badgers have been extremely error free all season. They can win playing quite ugly given their defense, but they need to hit smart and give their defense a chance. I like the way Robinson kept battling. I don't think she wilted. That's good to see. She needs to be a big part of the team. Not an X-factor, more like the steady hand she has been. She is not as strong as Duello blocking on the pin yet, but I'm seeing some progress.
