I’m rooting for Wisconsin. If Washington doesn’t win it all, at least we’d get a new champion.... albeit in an asterisks year. The ncaa said they were putting asterisks on this year?😳

I think anyone who wins will think they went to hell and back during this crazy year to get it. I don't think the players treat it cheaply at all.

The only asterisk is Rice is a co national-champion. That is all.

She faces a bigger block every day in practice. Does she? I’m assuming Eggleston/Fields and Butler/O’Neal will be bigger than all of their 2nd team outsides/middles (sans maybe that one Canadian) Wohlert (6'7"), Gorum (6'3") and Demps (6'2") all have 10'5"-10'6" approach jump touches as of Mar, for what it's worth, much like Rettke, Robinson and Hart. I don't think Smrek (6'9") and Jardine (6'2") are in Omaha, at least I don't remember seeing them, but they practice against them otherwise. Loberg's approach jump touch is only 10'3" and Haggerty's is just over 10', so the block is considerably bigger than them.

Plus the four teams in the Final Four are all ones that you wouldn't be surprised to see in the Final Four if there had been the normal 2020 fall season. All legit. Probably the most difficult season from a mental standpoint for the players.

As a Washington fan, I would have been hella surprised to see the Huskies in the Final four given the situation that existed in August. I'm still rather surprised (and delighted).

Had more teams no contested their matchups like Rice because of Covid (which was a very real possibility) and we ended up with a final four of Missouri, Georgia Tech, UNLV, and Texas State, would you be singing the same tune? Being successful this season was a lot more than just being “mentally tough”

Nor has it in any championship in any sport that has been played. Just because you want to shut down the world doesn't mean the rest of the world agrees with you.

So I don’t see why it’s relevant

It doesn’t have to be an asterisks season for you - it is for me. Interestingly enough, you didn’t actually answer my question, but whatever. Saying it didn’t have a shred of possibility of happening is ridiculous considering the MANY matches canceled this year because of covid, including the one in the tournament.

There is no **(asterisk) on the ‘81 season, when there was 2 Champion's! Half played AIAW and half played NCAA! And there will be no asterisk on this one: the NCAA sponsored the tourney, these are the criteria, and blank won! ps: you can put an asterisk on any championship with your way of thinking! Please in on your home chart on NCAA Championships how many have you asterisked? Wait dont tell me its really not important that you wish to attempt to delegitimize a teams accomplishments because of your superior standards of what a true champions path must be!! Please spare us your opinion!
