Can people stop saying the Big 10 is the best conference now. They aren't at this point. No Big 10 team in the Finals, and only one was in the Final 4. Texas is great. The Big 12 is not.

I think Texas did a lot of things better than Wisconsin tonight; and, in the first and third sets, we won the biggest points (obviously). As good as tonight's win feels, we'll have to do all those things on the court at a very high level again on Saturday night.

There was something off about WI...not Loberg...she was as expected. But Hilley, Hart and Rettke have not looked themselves all tourney. Sad for them but Texas pulled out the first set and never looked back. They were flat. Not necessarily intimidated, but they didn't push back as a one seed should. They appeared to cruise and never put it in urgency mode.

Also. Although I truly love Salima. She’s not good at this.

We are being a little too harsh with Wisconsin playing the way they did two sets going deuce is hardly getting rocked but they looked out of sorts it can happen especially in the Final Four and it has to many a team before. At that stage this late in the tourney the stakes are higher and the game feels different. That wasn’t the Wisconsin team I have seen easily sweep teams or make them look pedestrian but so it goes. It was fun watching Rettke for four years let’s hope she gets back to full strength for the National Team cause I always thought she was a lock to get there but after these last few matches I am unsure. It’s been a strange year of covid and an entertaining tourney which is all I could ask for. I think Rettke will get there. I also think Butler will too, which I said after seeing her in person in 2018. If either or both do, go team blue!

My guess is the COVID pauses for Wisconsin really affected them, hence their suspect play in recent matches. Just looking at it objectively, the team that has played with pretty much no stops since October probably was going to be more tested and in shape and ready to make a post season run. I really wanted Wisconsin to win, but my gut was telling me Texas was going to take the match tonight.
I'm wondering if the seniors for Wisconsin will come back? I think the program is headed in a great direction. They have some great incoming talent and good talent on the bench as well.

When you're 45 days from not being able to walk for more than 5 minutes bc of covid, who knows. I'm just dumbfounded trying to understand Hilley and Rettke looking so pedestrian.

Wisconsin reminded me of how Minnesota has looked in their last few semis. Glimmers of hope, but ultimately can’t get it done.

Oh everybody.
