Can people stop saying the Big 10 is the best conference now. They aren't at this point. No Big 10 team in the Finals, and only one was in the Final 4. Texas is great. The Big 12 is not. Ain’t that the truth.

Personally I think either another strong team should enter Big 12 or Texas should find another conference... Volleyball doesn’t come close to competing with other sports ie football, basketball for a hard push to switch conferences. So no Texas won’t switch conferences because of volleyball.

BOTH Texas middles really stepped up their offensive production tonight; credit to the first contact and setting for really making it all happen.
Brionne Butler - 11 kills; 1 error; 0.625
Asjia O'neal - 11 kills; 0 errors; 0.611

Personally I think either another strong team should enter Big 12 or Texas should find another conference... You could say that about almost every conference. There are normally about three competitive teams in each with the except of Big and PAC who traditionally have 6-7.

Who has better potential for the national team, Rettke or Brionne? I feel like Brionne is more dynamic, she hits some unreal angles and has such a high contact point. I think she’s also a better block. If that’s the future of USA middles I like where things are heading.

They were flat. Not necessarily intimidated, but they didn't push back as a one seed should. They appeared to cruise and never put it in urgency mode. Think it is more than that but who knows. When you're 45 days from not being able to walk for more than 5 minutes bc of covid, who knows. I'm just dumbfounded trying to understand Hilley and Rettke looking so pedestrian. Rettke and pedestrian don't belong in the same sentence! She was at the mercy of her teammates passing and then setting. With what she was dealt I am shocked she hit .260 and didn't have more errors. She also had 2 blocks and quite a few block touches which helped the defense. She also had an enormous block 1 on 1 against Butler at a crucial point in set 3. There is nothing pedestrian about her! SportyBucky I thought you were more knowledgeable in vball... SMH

I know you don't like him, clearly, but a lot of the bugaboos that have hurt them over the years seem fixed tonight, which is not happy making for me. Finally realized he can import a Libero from the B1G and pick up an already well-coached DS from a die-hard vball family to fix the passing woes.

He has a former Olympian in Sullivan and brought on Morris afteer he was fired from Netherlands National Team... add in two or three world class athletes.... I think thats a nice safe start for any program. Honestly I dislike him for these reasons: He's never had to work for anything, USC was given to him, so was TX job. He's a rich boy that grew up in the Palisades and when he didn't to play at Pepperdine he transferred to Hawaii or CSUN...I forgot the chain of schools. I hate people that never worked for anything and are given positions because of their legacies and privilege. I never met him... how is he as a person?

Personally I think either another strong team should enter Big 12 or Texas should find another conference... Don't worry. Conference realignment in another couple of years will probably shift Texas into the SEC or B1G . . .

Internationally at 6-8 or 6-9 and they way she moves, Rettke could end up on the right side. Remember when they play at that level all four or five players are being set in system in pretty much quick tempo. So if she's in Rettke is on the RS or Middle, she'll have a lot of 1-on-1 opportunity. That's when she's at her best. So we'll see how she performs not always being the go-to, but creating open seams for her pin hitters.

Wisconsin never wants to face O’Brien in the tourney again... at Illinois or Texas.
