Girl, cool it with these Ben Shapiro straw man arguments. Poster literally said "THIS IS A BLACK GIRLS APPRECIATION POST" Yes, I read his post. Why not a great VB players appreciation post. Why does everything have to be about race. As I said, only racists focus on race and try to introduce it into every discussion. USA Volleyball is one of the most white sports in the country. Last time I checked, I think there were only 8-10% of players identifying as Black. To see black players, especially young Black women, on the biggest stage, succeeding in a sport that is mostly white, is what the poster was commenting on. You selfishly made it about yourself, thinking that because they were celebrating the success of Black women that it's somehow at the mercy of whites. USA Volleyball has been "trying" to diversify the game (even though they insist on having the final four in a state that's roughly 75% white) and this is essentially the fruit of that labor. Why can't you see the strides we've made as a country and as a sport and celebrate that?

Again, BS. The Big 12 was essentially the premier conference at one point, especially in football. At no point was UT dictating any terms to any of the other schools. Like Ohio State and Michigan don't do the same with the Big Ten? Had Nebraska had the level of success Texas did in the 2000s, I imagine they would still be a part of the Big 12. Like a wounded puppy, they made a rash decision and decided that they could "do better" in the Big Ten conference and lol. What's funny is that it was The University of Texas who FOUGHT for UNL to get a membership in the AAU because they wanted more Big 12 schools there. Texas can literally join any conference in the country and be welcomed with open arms. You're a great fiction writer. I'm nominating you for a Pulitzer. And you're a clown. I wonder if the circus is back performing in these COVID-days, you should look into it!

Hancock and Hunter were as pure as any setter. Both set in high school, club, for USAV, and in college. I don’t think anyone is arguing against Hunter being a pure setter. But Hancock was definitely not a “pure” setter coming into college. She was a great volleyball player and a good setter for awhile and then became great at both under Russ/Salima. I guess it depends on how you want to define pure setter though. I don’t think it has anything to do with what you did in high school or anything because Glass spent time hitting in HS too. People say "pure" when they mean "technical" or "skilled."

Anyone else noticed how awesome black girls have performed in this tournament? And don't come at me cos this is a black girls appreciation post. They bring extra juice to every team that has had a deep run. Note to coaches, diversify your teams and reap the rewards. You have nothing to lose! Are you stupidly suggesting that coaches aren't recruiting top players because they are black? Washington's team isn't exactly diverse, yet they made a deep run. Penn State and Minnesota have plenty of diversity and did not make the FF. Only racists make everything about race. You're an idiot and not worth my time if you read my post and this is what you made of it. Slither off!

Appreciating Black athletes is racist? Uh Miss Thing please go get yourself a dictionary... It was more self-aggrandizing virtue-signaling that it was an appreciation of black athletes.

No dog in that fight but I'm definitely #Hancock4Tokyo I don't believe they're allowing spectators.

Your lack of reading comprehension skills and braincells are the reason why you are interpreting this way. Anyone with half a brain could see that it was an appreciation post.

I guess by “pure” I was thinking more natural touch and location. Lockin, EMP = not pure setter Lilley, Blossom = pure setter So if technical and skilled, then yes Hancock was that. Especially by her last few years.

So what if volleyball is one of the most white sports in the country. Football and basketball are mostly black. How often do you hear anyone say that we should celebrate Drew Brees or Tom Brady as white athletes in a sport that is mostly black? Never. What you have is an obsession with race -- and like all other obsessions, it is irrational, unhealthy and destructive.

I would love to see you say this to Serena Gray and Kaitlyn Hord and any other young Black recruit considering a place like Penn State. I imagine they wouldn't want someone like you anywhere near Rec Hall.
