You do realize that USA Volleyball has nothing to do with the location of the NCAA Final Four, don't you? So what if volleyball is one of the most white sports in the country. Football and basketball are mostly black. How often do you hear anyone say that we should celebrate Drew Brees or Tom Brady as white athletes in a sport that is mostly black? Never. What you have is an obsession with race -- and like all other obsessions, it is irrational, unhealthy and destructive. You are a clown. I would love to see you say this to Serena Gray and Kaitlyn Hord and any other young Black recruit considering a place like Penn State. I imagine they wouldn't want someone like you anywhere near Rec Hall. I imagine they are satisfied with being excellent volleyball players and have no need to have anyone point out that they are black. I'm pretty sure they already are aware. |

People say "pure" when they mean "technical" or "skilled." I guess by “pure” I was thinking more natural touch and location. Lockin, EMP = not pure setter Lilley, Blossom = pure setter So if technical and skilled, then yes Hancock was that. Especially by her last few years. I think it's more Lockin = not a setter  |

This %*$# again. Even the Big 10 schools don't play that schedule. Quit being a conference homer and accept that Texas just took down three of those schools 3-1, 3-1, 3-0. Even though the Big 10 now has an unbalanced schedule, most of the teams play exactly that schedule. Who's most of the teams? Doesn't appear to be Penn State. Looking at their 2017-2019 schedules, 2017 and 2019 they only played Wisconsin home and away. They only played the other four teams once. 2018 was the only year of the three that they came close when they played four of the five teams home and away. |

I actually feel a little remorseful because this feels like 2016 when Carlini lost and had no title after her brilliant 4 years and now the same thing happens with Rettke. Agreed. Sheff is a very good coach but to go 0-8 with 4 years of Carlini and 4 years of Rettke/Hilley stings. |

Man what a tough way to go out for Wisconsin with so many great seniors. Hilley has been terrific but I thought was outset by Gabriel in terms of location and decision making. Setting Loberg over Rettke on 23-24 is a very poor choice IMO. Rettke also struggled finding the floor and getting blocks. Eggleston tooled the block at will and Texas middles were extremely effective. Hard way to go out for one of the best collegiate middle blockers of all time but she had a terrific career.

Girl, cool it with these Ben Shapiro straw man arguments. Poster literally said "THIS IS A BLACK GIRLS APPRECIATION POST" Yes, I read his post. Why not a great VB players appreciation post? Why does everything have to be about race? As I said, only racists focus on race and try to introduce it into every discussion. The obsession with race is unhealthy and ultimately destructive. Why are you so defensive about this? Just read the post and move on if you don’t appreciate what was posted. Silence is free. |

So, can we start saying that what the likes of O'Neal, Butler and Phillips is more what the USA is looking for now or in the future for their middles? Or Rettke with her height who can run an effective slide the most needed? It'll never be Phillips or O'Neal. Neither are great blockers. Rettke has already proven herself against the best in the world. Not sure why this us even a question. Dana’s blocking skills really showed up yesterday🙈 |
