And a gold medal in a team sport is more impressive than 9 medals and competing in more Olympics (7) than anyone in the history of the planet? Look I’m as big a Husker fan as anyone on this site, but I think you’re jumping the shark. I also think statues are silly. Yeah Osborne's statue with Berringer is “silly”. . . Huh? Fans never flock around it and take pictures with it. . .? You might want to start entering the Devaney on the east side (delivery entrance) so you won’t have to walk by these “silly” volleyball statues. (They will be a reality) sorry 5 days ago Jordan Larson was considered a great player whose career was about to end. She was always included when people talked about the best players of the past ten or 15 years. . . But never really in the conversation about being the best player all-time. . . Like Logan Tom, Regla Torres, Lang Ping or Fabiana Alvin, but now she is. Leading her country to an Olympic gold medal has increased the way people look at Jordan Larson and her career. Winning the Olympics is a big thing. . . having 3 players on the 12 member squad, 2 of which were on the all tournament team, is a big deal for Nebraska volleyball. These are accomplishments that won’t be hidden behind a glass shelf. . . #statue and sorry…Ottey was a great student at Nebraska, a great track athlete at Nebraska, and represented her country in 7 Olympic Games. . . but sorry, she never won a gold. …never won a gold. . . Maybe we Berringer/Osborne statue comparison is apples to canned hams.

So anyways...
Curious to see who fills the other middle role until Lauren is ready to go. Red and White should be fun seeing how Meyer and Gray will look. Gotta assume Callie has the advantage there despite her offensive woes.
Interesting Cook didn't list Batenhorst as an option at opposite they're looking at (He said Whit, Lexi and Linds). I wonder if that means they think she can unseat Kubik at OH. I would be surprised if they sacrificed Kubik's passing, maybe Madi could play backrow. Idk.
Imagine we did something like Wisconsin 2019 with all three pins subbed in the backrow, except Lexi would serve her rotation and Madi would provide a legitimate pipe option even as a DS. It could be something like this:
S: Hames or Orr Opp: Sun (Knuckles DS after Lexi serves) M1: Stivrins (eventually) M2: Caffey Libero: Rodriguez O1: Krause (Akana DS) O2: Batenhorst (Kubik DS without losing backrow attack)

Their depth at OH is impressive. Kubik will have to be better offensively to stay on the court 6 rotations. If she’s struggling offensively you could very well see something like what you mentioned.

I can’t remember which posters, but some absolutely don’t think that’ll happen. I think if any of them are significantly better than Kubik offensively they should start. Also, I don’t hate subbing out all the pin hitters lol. If it came down to it, I would be comfortable with Lexi staying in and maybe Batenhorst

I have faith that Nebraska will do something that is both timely and appropriate. Let's hold off on statue talk until some time has passed.

Do you know how often 2019 Wisconsin ran out of subs at the end of sets? If it's going to happen frequently, I guess it's something you could kind of plan for.

Lol yea I low key like my lineup I mean, it looks like it could possibly be the best offensive line up since what 2016 should’ve been Nebraska’s second team would be legit.

Will any true freshman break end of the lineup? That’s going to be interesting to watch!

I mean, it looks like it could possibly be the best offensive line up since what 2016 should’ve been Nebraska’s second team would be legit. this is so exciting, I feel like they’ve lacked depth on the pins the last few years so this is great

Statues are for old people with memories that are not what they once were. No way that some recruit is convinced that Nebraska is their choice because of some statue that sort of looks like the people it is supposed to honor. Something like a holographic video of the players making a few great plays and then the celebration at match point elicits appreciation of their skills and their joy from reaching the top. A recruit wants to feel that. They have already won in club and H.S so they already have the taste.

Make Larson Governor for real and take out Ricketts.
