Not to mention the fact that Rodriguez and Jacobs didn't look stellar passing either. Turkey is the most aggressive and best serving team in the tourney. It was a step up for all of them and a learning experience. It goes to show you that while serving and receiving are important, a team can win this part of the game and still get swept 3-0 unless they are solid in all aspects of the game. It's even more impressive when you realize that most of their competition are professionals or will be next season

Lol I should tell you how ridiculous Nebraska passed against Texas in the 2016 semis

I think our staff is realistic that with Orr's eligibility, Ella is a tough pull. She could start immediately and for 4 years at a lot of places. The reality is if Orr DOESN'T redshirt, she will be on campus until the 2024 season. If she DOES, she will be on campus until the 2025 season. Swindle is a 2023. We can all do the math Am I wrong to think that maybe Swindle could beat out Orr? I have no intel or inside knowledge, but Swindle is good and super tall.

Krause & Batenhorst showing their hitting prowess. Batenhorst continues to impress with serve receive and defense. Very agile & reactive player. I think batenhorst is a very nice player but I can’t believe anyone could have watched the last U20 match and thought she was impressive in serve receive and defense. Agree. My comment made after the Thai game. Her good passing stat in the Turkiye game was 8% and her digging efforts were also not good. Team passing stats were also bad vs Turkeyi. It appeared to me that Turkeyi targeted Batenhurst when serving and considering her struggles that was smart play on their part. Interesting to see if she corrects her problems or if they pull her from back row rotations with Krause getting more playing time.

well considering this comment was made before the last match.... (where her receive was impressive the first two matches) Not to mention the fact that Rodriguez and Jacobs didn't look stellar passing either. Turkey is the most aggressive and best serving team in the tourney. It was a step up for all of them and a learning experience. These college freshman have lived out of suitcases for about 3 weeks, travelled to Ca., then Ca. to Europe, gone through many emotional highs of making the team and winning matches, are playing with a different ball, and eating who knows what. Some fatigue and concentration loss is going to happen. After mistakes, the girls reset and usually handled their next opportunity.

We have Libero's and DS's galore. I admit I was only looking at firepower. We only need 1 6-rotation pin next season.

Pretty good session. Feel like I have a much better sense of both. We know this, but he is just next-level.

There are a lot of pastries, fried foods, sausages, different cheeses, rich sauces, herring, etc. Different food and certainly opportunity to have a lot more fat, carbs, and sugar in their diet.

Our road trip meals were always less structured schedule wise and in what we ate. I can see this being an issue that these players and the team management have to deal with. Not saying it is with theU20 Team - just that it could be.
