Coach has won 70% of his matches, he has taken two completely different teams to the NCAA's in three years, and has landed top recruiting class after top recruiting class at a school that costs $70k a year with 4.5 scholarships. He took a 5'10' outside hitter and made him an All-American. It's a testament to his ability to train the players he has. On top of that he has coached both the Men's and Women's national teams and is respected by every coach. Your comment of mediocre is bizarre. I think your disappointment is that he will not leave Malibu for Lincoln Nebraska hahaha. I literally have no idea what you’re talking about . I didn’t make any comment about Pepp being mediocre, nor do I have any disappointment in something that’s never going to happen. I think they mistook you for the original comment because your names have a similar look and your reply was a little pointed. But going back to it, the development of a high level all American caliber player at that height isn’t common so it shows the coaching is far from mediocre. Obviously this is meant at the other poster.

Swindle to Nebraska isn't going to happen. She's a 4 year starter type of setter. So Nebraska was never a possibility even though she visited a couple Sundays’ ago. I guess she will go to wherever she can be a four year starter for sure, maybe waiting just one year at the most. Reilly was willing to wait though. Maybe if and when Cook retires, a two setter system could be adopted. If she is considering NE maybe he is considering it now? There is an old saying: never say never...but seems unlikely.

1. Show Biz ain't easy 2. ACL injuries are non-trivial. 3. Speaking of podcasts and Wisconsin, Kelly was on the Arias podcast last week. He mentioned that unlike some other programs, Wisconsin is not "transactional" with its players and NIL is not the first thing they mention with recruits. Ha, he's always negative recruiting vs. the Huskers. I would love to see the Huskers run out for pre-game introductions in Madison wearing some sort of advertising, just to troll 'em. If you are referring to the Nick & Lo Podcast, they should have no problem with the technical support and equipment from NU, and maybe able to get college credit for it as a special studies project. Would that preclude them from getting NIL income at the same time? I don't think so. ACL injuries are serious, but my understanding is that Lauren had a back injury. Kennedy Ohr had the ACL injury. The last thing NE needs to do is troll WI or anyone else. But the thought of it was entertaining🤣 Thanks for the feedback. I was just throwing random thoughts out there. The ACL injury on my mind is Kennedi's. It's moved the over/under in Vegas on number of national titles she'll have from 2.5 to 1.5. :-) I wanna like Wisconsin and I really do, because they have some super kids. For instance, Dana Rettke would make any fanbase/parent proud. I just sense a "leetle" self-righteousness sometimes wafting out of the ol' Field House. I'm sure it is frustrating to come so close every once in awhile. I thought Molly would get at least one title 'cause heck, she was beating up on the same kids her whole life. If they couldn't win with last year's talent, can they ever? That said, I'm giving everyone a pass last year, due to Covid. Good on Kentucky, seizing the day.

Both Reilly and Swindle on the USA u18 team.

Fun filler for slow day: Anonymous VT quote, May 2017 "Schwarzenbach will be an all-american middle! Save this post and hold me to it!"

Agree, but a lot depends on the status of Lauren, Kalynn and Rylee. I think, offensively, she improved between '19 and spring '21. If she makes similar strides this off season, the coaches might have a tough decision.

I wish you were right; but I don't see Callie getting much playing time! I think she is staying out of loyalty to the team! I love her as a Nebraska fan! Time will tell. She worked very hard last spring to improve her game. I do not think it is mental with her, she is consistent. She is a much better blocker than hitter. She appears to need a well set ball and struggles adjusting to a not perfectly set ball, more so than the other middles. One possibility: it was originally thought she would red shirt her freshman year. She could red shirt now, leaving her the option of playing 2 yrs as a graduate transfer, like Caffey. I doubt that scenario, but possible with the extra covid year (not sure though). She may yet grow as a player with more time to mature. Thus a red shirt year might help her, but the intra-team competition will remain fierce. I too am a Calley fan. Wish and hope for the best for her and all Husker players, and not just on the vb court.

The question is does Nebraska have a scholarship available currently for a 2023 recruit? The best response is Nebraska will most likely suffer at least one scholarship loss to the transfer route in the next two years. Based on history and girls yearning for more playing time or chance to start elsewhere. I doubt Sydney Helmers made a trip to Lincoln on her own dime, if there is not a scholarship available. There are 2 extra yr seniors on the team this fall, 3 seniors and 3 juniors. Although the juniors can play thru 2023, I'm not sure their scholarship counts nor are they guaranteed a scholarship. I mean u can doubt it but I know for a fact she was there on an unofficial visit lol

They didn't doubt the unofficial visit, they doubted the lack of available scholarship (aka she wouldn't pay to travel there and visit if there wasn't one available for her recruiting year)
