Very grateful he chose to wear tights. And a manbun, who knew? He has talked about his hair length a few times on his podcast It’s pandemic hair. I like it - the manbun works well on him. |

Anyone with knowledgeable insight on the DS position.
It would be beneficial to get more out of Boyer's position. She goes on some nice serve runs, but passing and defense seem to have room for improvement. A little more in-system would have helped a lot versus purdue. Has Anna Mac ever been a threat to play over Boyer?
What is Reed's realistic role in the future? She played as a true fresh before transferring. I thought she was chosen for some national training. But, she was apparently not a viable option for this year?
Does Jardine or Demps have 6 rotation potential next year? Or, is that not in their skillset?

Boyer has generally passed well I think, but every now and then she has a match where the other team gets to her. This Purdue match was one of those.

Middle of the season after a big win, early morning match away from home, with the pressure off because of a Neb loss. It was a classic recipe for a let down. I was just hoping they would realize it and find a way to deal with it.
But no. Purdue is a good team and the badgers were just not at the races. Now they will have to earn it all over again. Civita was a loss. I wonder for how long.
Injuries suck, but I like how the badgers back their injured players.

I was mining through some recruiting articles, and found one that suggested that the Badgers had three scholarships for 2022 and that they were all allotted for. This was of course before Anthouli decided to stay in Europe. This would suggest that with Wrobel,there was another recruit that was taking the 2nd scholarship. Could that scholarship be for Reed ( the NC transfer)?

It should've said two 2022 scholarships (Anthouli, who is not coming anymore, and Wrobel), and one 2023 (Damrow). Per the PrepVolleyball recruiting needs page, the Badgers were looking to pick up another middle for 2022. However, that was before Hart got injured. Now that she's returning, IDK if they'll even be taking another 2022. |

I was impressed with our improved passing in sets 3 and 4. Just really hard to get going without good passes given how much Dana relies on it, and Julia relies on diversity of offense. |
