Also, Wenaas second team Rollins no team Again, would seem Rollins knew the writing was on the wall. But wild guessing there. Maybe just wanted a change of scenery. Your guess is a little on the wild side and slightly off base. Change of scenery is much more accurate (from what I've heard). Rollins' starter role was not in jeopardy. |

I still don't understand how/why they can keep changing the number of players on each of these teams. It seems completely random

Curious why you think this. From losing 3 matches in a row right before conference, to shuffling around the lineup to see what worked (sitting an all-american) and almost winning the conference title, I think he seemed most deserving. Not taking anything away to Shondell and co beating WI twice, but prior to conference I was thinking Nebraska would be down this year after going 5 with UNO, dropping 3 straight and Stivrins coming back later and then they come back with force and have had an excellent season. I don’t get that the turnaround was due that much to any coaching decisions that Cook made. He was still trying to find something that worked in the UW match. As I see it, Stivrins came back and Hames played better. I don’t think knuckles hitting out of the back row did the trick. Sheffield probably has a better case having to rearrange and rebalance his entire squad and passing rotations after losing a starting middle before Maryland, and losing civita most of the B1G season. But I’m ok with shondell. He’s deserving. |

Why isn't Lexi FOY? Orzol didn't get 1st or 2nd team. Lexi is on 1st team.

I'll have whatever the coaches who didn't pick Kubik/Hord/Bush are smoking.

Why isn't Lexi FOY? Orzol didn't get 1st or 2nd team. Lexi is on 1st team. Right? Orzol was borderline for me. |

I'd say Otec for DPOY and Roddy for FOY but Roddy for DPOY ain't that bad either. I just find it hilarious that Orzol who is not even on any teams outside of All-Freshman team got the nod. This is no shade towards her, more shade towards who voted on the awards. |

I'm quite certain there was a discussion of spreading the awards around a little.
It's hard to argue that Orzol is NOT deserving. Is someone else more deserving? Maybe. Has that person already been well recognized, to the point that giving FOY to someone else wouldn't really be a slight?
That's probably the decision-making process.
It's not like Roddy was snubbed. She's been well rewarded for the season she's had.

I'm quite certain there was a discussion of spreading the awards around a little. the big east did this too. every team in the BE Tournament got representation with the awards. |
