I get the frustration here, but would she rather be considered the best defender in the conference or the best freshman? I'd say Otec for DPOY and Roddy for FOY but Roddy for DPOY ain't that bad either. I just find it hilarious that Orzol who is not even on any teams outside of All-Freshman team got the nod. This is no shade towards her, more shade towards who voted on the awards. Given that CC is the other only libero first teamer, I would assume it is between Roddy and CC for DPOY. I would have liked to see CC as the DPOY and Roddy as the FOY. It would make more sense to me. |

I still don't understand how/why they can keep changing the number of players on each of these teams. It seems completely random It's by a vote threshold. If you receive X% of votes, you're 1st team, if you get Y% of votes, you're 2nd team etc. Interesting to know, thanks! Do you know what the thresholds are? First team threshold must be pretty high given the players that didn’t make it. |

I know the conference is deep at her position, but it feel weird to not see Murr on either list when I think she has been Ohio State's best player this season. I also don't think Podraza played well enough to be first team, but just made it because she has the most assists in the nation, which for me isn't an independent enough stat of the setter's performance to justify her inclusion.

Things that make no sense. Most might be mentioned but my first thoughts
No Caffey but Stivrins?
Rodriguez on the first team but Orzol who won FOY is not even listed? (Not claiming Orzol should be listed but seems really confusing)
Temi is not first team material, far too many unforced errors weekly

Maybe you don’t understand the game as well as those who actually get paid to teach and coach it at this level. That’s sad, but also evident. 👀 she passed a 2.3 on the season and was the best defender in the conference 👀 go back to under your bridge babe. His point isn’t invalid, those are some pretty knowledgable coaches watching way more volleyball than anyone on this site. While you are using stats to prove your point (I respect that) You did have mini fit when it was suggested Roddy was in the same league as Hampton while at that time Roddy had better passing numbers and more digs per set. Can’t have it both ways. I probably would have had Barnes first team for what it’s worth. |

Can we refer to these athletes by their given names, i.e "Roddy", we aren't in high school anymore. I despise the use of nicknames for athletes.
