I perceive Volleyball as a team sport where all of the parts make up the whole. There may have been teams where the women all hated each other off the court but put it together on the court but I would be surprised to find that out. In Basketball you can far more rely on one star player to carry a team. The team chemistry means less (IMO) for that reason. When it comes to the scenario we created, having a bunch of great players come together in a short amount of time, there's a greater need for chemistry to bond a team. Actually I'm going to correct myself a little bit... The year the Detroit Pistons beat the Lakers, the Pistons were a team and the Lakers were a collection of stars (Shaq, Kobe, Karl Malone, Gary Payton I think, and others) The Piston's team chemistry prevailed. I agree. I just wanted you to say it. Didn't see enough of PSU during the COVID season to have strong observations (other than some Blossom preferences), but I would expect Rose already has his test tubes and beakers out...working on chemistry prep. |

Please stop engaging with racist posters, racism deniers, or other dangerous people; their posts do not need to be legitimized with a response. Just report them to the mods. Pretty sure it is supposed to be an all inclusive Sports Forum, not an echo chamber for White liberal stereotypes. Grow up. Kinda agree (in general) with the Brute here. I disagree with the comments made by some posters but to label them so dangerous that we have to run to the Mods seems a little silly. I am willing to advocate for myself and keep it as civil as possible, hopefully others can do the same. The most dangerous thing we can do is to pretend that racism doesn't exist by trying to ban it when it pops up. |

If we don’t choose to let ourselves feel bad or let something effect us that’s not privilege. That’s making a choice. People can only feel a certain way if they let themselves feel that way. That’s a choice. Everyone sees things differently. There is no one right way for every individual cause we are all different. You arnt gonna bait me or attack me into feeling bad about the way I think. I’m stronger then that mentally. America is not a racist country. Is there racism yes. Is the country racist absolutely not. If the country was that bad you wouldn’t have so many from other countries risking their lives trying to come here to start their lives. I do feel privileged that I was taught to stand up for myself and call things out when I see them instead of running to someone else in hopes that they will shut down something I disagree with.
