Another transfer libero to the B1G will be announced soon. Hmm trying to figure out who needs one? McGraw is still around. Barnes returns. Otec returns with Hornung. I don't think Rose is replacing Hampton? I thought Grant was good for Michigan. Cox is coming back. Oooh, Nebraska?! Iowa needs one. (#thanksWisconsin lol) But Nebraska was looking..

Iowa has the biggest need, IMO.
Isn't the impression that Knuckles improved and Akana made the husker back-court stronger last year? I'm not sure who in the portal would improve on them, but I don't know much about those other liberos (also recognizing that that list may not be complete).

He wants Townsend+Albrecht+Maloney level passing. Kubik is doing her part. Akana may as well. Knuckles improved, but she's not at the level Cook wants. I don't think they'll end up with a transfer, but it doesnt hurt to look.

With four on the roster next year, they should have plenty of depth.
The passing game could be helped by better blocking up front. I have a hard time thinking of many times last season when I felt that Husker blocking truly frustrated the opponent, that gave them plenty of opportunities to hit hard shots into large areas of the court.

That limited shot selection doesn't make the hitter more predictable? That predictable shots to smaller areas don't make digging/passing easier? Or that players only pass on service receive?

With four on the roster next year, they should have plenty of depth. well not necessarily. Either Cook or Lauren mentioned that Rodriguez was their best passer this spring, but she's also a freshman. There's value in an experienced passer/defender. Cook will have just one upperclassman next year... and Knuckles hasn't met expectations or where Cook envisions the position being.

While I agree that experience helps, Nebraska has had some good luck starting Freshmen in the past, Wong-Orantes and Dykstra come to mind. I often wonder how good Lara Dykstra could have become if she hadn't decided to go back to California to play beach after her Sophomore year.
