• Posted her 40th career double-double and third of the season with 54 assists and 10 digs in Sunday afternoon’s win at Illinois
• A two-time first-team Academic All-America selection (2019, 2020)
• Named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten honoree each of the past three seasons (2018, 2019, 2020)

Hopefully the Illinois athletic department is paying attention and getting rid of their proposal to do the same thing.

Is Huff Hall ideal as a facility? No. Is it a home court advantage, especially with the engaged students, yes, despite the record thus far.

Heading into another wild Big Ten weekend, here is how I rank the league teams based on recent play…

1. Wisconsin - still adjusting to lost players for season.
2. Nebraska - Strivins is back.
3. Minnesota - so much size and talent.
4. Purdue - no more matches with Illini on schedule.
5. Penn State - they are on their way to great season.
6. Illinois - very difficult to play
7. Ohio State - could easily be four spots above.
8. Michigan - they will challenge Minny tonight for sure.
9. Maryland - love the defense and resurgence under Hughes.
10. Northwestern - no league has 10 teams this talented.
11. Iowa - looked impressive vs. Wisconsin on Wednesday.
12. Indiana - huge game tonight at Rutgers.
13. Michigan State - not sure what’s happening here. Look good on paper.
14. Rutgers - tough B1G schedule so far. Need to snap out of it tonight.

Illinois and Michigan both should be ranked. The B1G is crazy deep this year. Maybe not the strongest they have been at the top but the depth is nuts.

I am for Illinois NOT being ranked this week. I am hoping the Badgers win tomorrow and delay their ranking for another week. Michigan can move in this week due to the Pepperdine loss.

I haven't watched enough of Michigan to comment but why should IL be ranked? The only good team they beat was a split with Purdue. They lost to Washington, Colorado, Creighton, and Wisconsin. They went five sets with UCSB, Northwestern, and Iowa. Colorado (with Clayton) was a middle of the PAC team. WSU, who is not ranked, swept Colorado (with Clayton). Maybe I'm missing something but I'd rank WSU before I ranked Illinois. What's the case for ranking them?

Hopefully, Pepperdine losing and Colorado (without Clayton) losing twice. I hope the Badgers win later today, technically, but I do see the point to have the Cougars ahead of them, barring a bad loss in the desert.
