BTNPlus got renamed BTN+ and then B1G+. And the URL to get there is "bigtenplus". So who knows what to call them from one week to the next. And if the question is with regard to Wisconsin vs Purdue on Oct 31, that's on ESPNU. :-) Friday Nov. 12 Purdue schedule says B1G Network+ and the Wisconsin schedule shows several matches are to be shown there. That means the subscription streaming service: B1G+, or "bigtenplus" or whatever. |

Emily put together her list of the top 5 setters in the big ten…. It’s a complete joke. Getting content is nice but it’s almost worse than nothing considering how poor most of the stuff they come up with is. The list was as follows
1. Hilley
2. Podraza
3. Hames
4. Shaffmaster
5. Bush
The fact that bush is below Shaffmaster and Hames is mind boggling as is the omission of Gabby Blossom. They literally just take players from the good teams and proclaim them to be the best with everything they put out

Do you really believe BTN thoroughly checks on true sport knowledge when hiring? This is all about likes on social media. |

Starting to have enough conference matches to be able to see the stronger teams separating from the rest of the pack. It sure looks like a pretty clean cut-off for the NCAA tournament right now at 8 teams.
Maryland is the one team that still has a chance to get back in the conversation but they need to turn things around soon.

Ehman is clueless! Only looks at top teams. Needs to look deeper into states and intangible setters bring to make their team better. Double/doubles triple/Doubles kills, digs

Okay…here’s a B1G mini-poll: “Who are the best BTN+ announcers?”
My opinions: (DK means I haven’t heard them)
Illinois - Okay. Competent, but weird audio with one guy who’s sometimes yelling
Indiana: Awful. One “color” woman in the spring did not know they play to 25. Exceptionally bad.
Iowa: One guy, competent, minimalist…allows for empty space and not afraid to criticize the home team
Maryland: Homers, that repeat themselves a lot…but okay
Michigan: DK
Michigan State: Frankly, I can’t remember, so I guess they were boring and competent
Minnesota: DK
Nebraska: Professional, but a bit homerish. They add a lot of detail, and stats.
Northwestern: Definitely students, but lively informed, sometimes funny commentary
Ohio State: Only one guy, but he knows his sh$t! Excellent, quick commentary, that also educates the viewer
Penn State: DK
Purdue: Sound like students who think they need to cheer on Purdue
Rutgers: Two very well-informed guys who seem to work well together and do their homework!
Wisconsin: DK (I’m always at the Field House)
Now tell me your impressions. (Especially about the OSU guy…I wonder if he plays for the OSU men…?)
