Happy for Otec. She really had to step it up with M. Hornung not playing at 100%. She really tried to play a set, but you could tell that she could more time to rest.
Gabby Blossom is my 2nd favorite B1G setter. She seems to be everywhere and does so much for her team. She reminds me of Bush. I haven’t seen someone run around so much like Bush.

I saw perfect backsets from Bishop that went 25’
And MSU passed better and served consistently tougher

Both teams had side out %s over 60

Purdue had stretches where they dominated
They didn’t choke if you were implying underperforming

When an opp plays inspired & many std devs above their norm they deserve accolades

I’m a Gopher fan but the B1G is a battle and MSU vs Purdue was marvelous last night

I could be wrong but your comment seemed like a denigration…of the athletes on both teams

Denigrate?? Really! MSU Lots of kills and way over their average for year! A team with purdue’s rating shouldn't be 4-3 in last 7 matches: if MSU has a new average time will tell: but mad thinks over rated: time will also tell: but Purdue seems to under preform when blessed with rankings

or do you enjoy the artistry of the game, the teamwork, and the reality that a team can outperform their baseline in any given match.

It may be that MSU will never hit 300 again this season. The point is: they went into an opponent's lair, recovered from a couple of underwhelming sets, kept smiling and believed in themselves. They played to win and have every reason to feel proud of their performance.

I appreciate the sentiment you put into the defense of Purdue and MSU. Truly grateful. But @madden55 wants any and every reason to drag Purdue. There will rarely ever be a compliment directed at them from him and I've come to accept that.

But again, I do appreciate you putting forth the effort to stand up for both teams and the match.
