Not technically a transfer, BUT I cannot be the only one who noticed big time recruit Chloe Chicoine no longer has Penn State in her bio on Twitter or Instagram…
She also recently started following a LOT of Purdue, Wisconsin, and Ohio State players. Anyone else notice this or am I super late to the party here?

Obviously, it happens a lot in football and men's hoops. It happens quite a bit in women's hoops. It's starting to happen a lot in women's softball.

Speaking of women's softball and transfers, ya'll got a monster transfer in Hailey Dolcini. She's going to make a huge impact. One of my favorite pitchers.

Anyone else notice this or am I super late to the party here? John Shondell invested so much time in developing her when she was 10-12 years old. I hope she stays home. I know there are no hard feelings for her going elsewhere, but what a nice story that a coach believed in you when you were 10 and then get to play in college for him. At one time it was believed that it was between Purdue and Stanford, so I was shocked when it was neither.

Yeah, gaining an elite 5th year grad-transfer pitcher with All-American honors from Fresno State where she pitched against a lot of big-time programs during her 2 seasons there (after transferring as an undergrad) is such an unexpected bonus, especially when you get them at Winter break with immediate eligibility for the Spring. She actually beat Texas two seasons ago pitching a great game in 2020.

People should really stop overly looking into the Instagram bio changes of teenagers. Not every player needs to do the same thing. These are individual human beings after all…

Idk if anybody posted about this but Lauren Forte posted a story with “ let’s go bru “ cheering on the UCLA mens basketball team & also followed another UCLA player - so ☕️ Yeah, a few days ago (1 day before Hord committed to Nebraska) Forte started following Texas' Madi Skinner, and vice verse. Looks like today she started following UCLA's Charitie Luper, and vice verse. Her "bru" comment gave me flashbacks to when Skinner congratulated McKissock for announcing she was transferring to UCLA, folks on here thinking that was a sign Skinner would also be a Bruin, and then Skinner ends up choosing Texas. Hoping for another deja vu Skinner herself said it was between UCLA and Texas, not super surprising she wanted to stay close to home and saw a program had an immediate need for her more so than the other. Thankfully for the Bruins, neither McCall, Luper, or Ndiaye were interested in staying in Texas so UCLA will be just fine without Skinner. 😊

I don't recall reading any kind of interview where Skinner provided quotes. But, those were the two schools she apparently visited, so that's not new information other than potential confirmation. Skinner wasn't interested in staying Texas out of high school either; so, she ended up at Kentucky. But, like Ebony Nwanebu years ago, she decided to return to Texas when she had a second opportunity. Time will tell if UCLA can keep all their native Texans for their remaining eligibility; McCall only has one year remaining, so she certainly appears to be ending her college career at UCLA.

DeLuzio (Colorado) was apparently training with the CU team this week, so can one assume she has decided not to transfer and retract her portal entry?

Should have prefaced with saying this was word of mouth from a reliable source but I guess that’s up to the individual to believe that. Agreed anything can change in the future, shoot even Skinner could go in a year, feel she made a mistake, and transfer again. Literally anything is possible but ultimately it’s up to each program doing the best they can by the players they have. There are going to be a lot of good teams in the NCAA next Fall.

I’m guessing being a grad transfer doesn’t factor in?
