What do parents do when they’re allowed inside an hour early? Sit in groups and chat and visit other courts/parents. What should they do when they aren’t allowed inside until 30 minutes early? Sit in their car as a family and wait. The parents making the choice to stand outside in a big group is on them. Parents don’t need to be inside until the playing starts unless they are part of the work team. 30 minutes is plenty of time to get in and to the court without waiting in line unless the tournament is poorly planned (too large with not enough entrances). I think Bucky was speaking to Crossroads not wanting people to be inside the huge playing area but being fine with everyone congregating in the smaller lobby area. Yesterday was a mess from what I heard. Long line of parents waiting outside and the lines moving slowly. Computer crashed and there was problems processing the passes. No temperature checks like KC did and they barely looked at your vax proof. Chairs that were spread out got moved closer together by parents and a lot of "chinstrap masks". Actually was talking about the ones we've been to so far - Louisville twice, Milwaukee. Indy the girls all met up both times and the hotel was right across the street anyway so the parents just hung out until we went over. The only reason they were all in the same hotel was because it was a stay to pay (through the nose) type. The entire thing is a dog and pony show anyway at this point. It's all for show now.

This is going on right now. Apparently Crossroads is not allowing a coach to bring her baby into the CC. Says that it is against the rules. When pressed, the guards couldn't say whether it was a facility rule, a Colorado rule, or a tournament rule.
The coach reached out to the VCT hive, some Colorado State reps were contacted. We will see what happens. The coach said that she had talked to Kay Rogness and she was not budging.
She had set it up so that she can nurse her baby and team parents would watch the baby while she coached. She sneaked the baby in the first day and was not challenged. But the tournament reached out to her to tell her to cut it out or they will keep her from coaching her team at the tournament.

Send a bat signal out to the AM wave teams. Peacefully protest by not leaving the convention center until the policy is changed.

City is working with theor attorneys to get the tournament director to changs her mind. She won't budge, citing the COVID rules that no one under 16 stre allowed into ther facility.
The irony? This is the 11-14 weekend.

Somewhat interesting that there are comments from a blue-check-mark New York Times writer defending USAV and Crossroads.

Kay Rogness seems to find some weird hills to die on.

You can't buy PR like this! (And you sure wouldn't want to, if you could.)

Kay Rogness seems to find some weird hills to die on. Her blowup at Tawa over the ball handling signs in the men's room comes to mind.

It is going to take a few years if Front Range keeps this up.
There will always people who would sign up
