Too early to think about next year but with the key pieces that some teams have leaving, next year looks wide open. Gonna be an exciting year and it’ll be awesome to see the teams compete out of conference again. If Long Beach finds a setter, my money is on them.

The BEST SERVER is NOT Gabi, but it is definitely Jakob Thelle. Best Setter is NOT Will Stanley, but it is Jakob Thelle. Best Opposite is not Gabi, but it is Rado. Best Defensive Team is Hawaii. BYU not even in Hawaii's league when it comes to Defense. Best Serve/Receive Team, definitely Hawaii, not even close. Hawaii also has the BEST MIDDLES. BYU Middles no where to be found. BYU can count their stars that they faced Lewis, cause UCSB would have sent BYU home after the Semi-Final. THANK YOU HAWAII PLAYERS!!!! Played your HEARTS OUT. Played your BEST MATCH when it truly counted. Hawaii players made BYU WHO look like clowns. This match was not even close. AGAIN CONGRADULATION TO ALL THE HAWAII RAINBOW WARRIOR PLAYERS!!!!!

The hype for this match was there, but BYU never showed up. Thinking they were already heading back to Provo, before the match even started. BYU just looked scared of Hawaii from the get go.

I am so happy for Hawaii.. congrats.. I'm sure those guys that came before you are super happy as well. Salute to the seniors... Thelle is the future... You sure are the Thelle stan. Even when he was a frosh. You think Hawaii could run a 6-2 with him next year. I so badly want to see it...

Honestly, I haven’t been keeping up on who’s not returning next year (I believe I heard GGF and Felipe aren’t returning) so putting them in order is very difficult. But just for fun: 1. Long Beach 2. Pepperdine 3. UCLA 4. Hawaii 5. BYU 6. UCSD 7. Lewis 8. Penn St. 9. UCSB 10. UC-Irvine DISCLAIMER: I follow mostly the MPSF and Big West (obviously) and know little about MIVA and EIVA and what their recruiting classes look like. So please have mercy

So, which Conference is Stronger, the BIG WEST CONFERENCE, not even close. UCSB beats Pepperdine, and Hawaii annihilates BYU.

Though I would probably boot BYU/UCSB/LEWIS out of there and add GCU/CSUN/OHIO STATE in there.

Big West is gonna be tight next year.

I'm really happy for Hawaii. I watched them lose that heartbreaker to LBSU in 2019 and really felt for them and their fans. They must have been really hungry to get back to the championship match after two years. I thought Hawaii was going to be weaker from 2019 after losing Joe Worsley, but Thelle really stepped up in the crunch, and his serve was devastating. I can't believe a poster earlier in this thread said that passing doesn't matter in men's vball. It's practically everything. All elite teams are pretty much automatic in side out if they're passing a 3. Hawaii was very much in system this whole match. Chaz, Colton and Gage we're unshakeable.

I was really surprised by how good Chaz defended the backrow. Do you think he will be an upgrade when Colton leaves?

BYU has no class whatsoever. Did not even recognize Hawaii winning the National Championship. BYU is truly poor losers.
