Tennessee has put the tying runner on base with two outs in the bottom of the seventh still down 3-1. Edit: James Madison closes it out with a called strikeout, and now they'll have two chances to win one game to get to another super regional. If they were to advance to the super regional, it seems like they'd have potentially a better shot at their first CWS appearance, since they'd be getting the winner of the Missouri regional, who was the No. 8 seed. In 2019, they had to play against No. 2 seed and eventual national champion UCLA. Missouri-Northern Iowa playing now, 0-0 T3. No. Iowa is the home team as they run-ruled the #2 seed. An interesting scenario happens if two host teams (let's say neither Missouri or Tennessee would make the Super Regionals) I'm not 100% sure if this is true but it's rumored, only the approved 20-sites can host super regionals. That means JMU-Northern Iowa, hypothetically, would be played at either Missouri or Tennessee, I imagine.

Action has mostly calmed down now.
Dolcini is fun to watch from Fresno State, she had 13 K's yesterday. #2 overall UCLA loaded the bases on a walk, hit, and error. Dolcini strikes out the side to escape the thread. Fresno St. designated home team as well - quite a few #3 seeds won their games yesterday.

Too many good games on right now. Usually I do 2 screens, upgraded to 3. UCLA-Fresno St. , Wichita St.-Oklahoma, and the battle for the Lonestar State, Texas State vs. Texas. Loser is Arizona-Ole Miss, who I would like to see too. Gotta love a match at Tucson, AZ being broadcast on SEC Network though . . .

Wichita State ain't intimidated. Oooh baby! They lead 2-1 headed to the 5th on #1's home-field. UCF and South Florida have been very competitive, only losing to national seeds. Great showing for the AAC thus far.

Wichita State up 2-1 over Oklahoma in the top of the 4th. All runs solo homers. Oklahoma and Wichita State are first and second for most homers in the country (OU was first by a big margin), so I guess that makes sense.

And she probably should have been called out, but doubt any umpire is really going to make that call unless it's a little more obvious. Oklahoma is a little rattled. You can tell their ace was missing some pitches after she almost got taken yard. OU clearly thought their #2 pitcher was good enough to get by Wichita State without breaking a sweat. Of course, they have the best offense in the country and easily can come back. But, Texas A&M is the loser bracket is certainly no slouch.

With Oklahoma in trouble, I was curious when the last time an eventual national champion (not saying the Sooner will win, but they are the top seed) had to get out of the losers' bracket in the regionals. I didn't have to go too far back to find an example. As the No. 10 seed in the 2017 tournament, Oklahoma lost their first game to North Dakota State. The Sooners then won 10 straight games to win it all.

You can't just push (or lift) someone off the base and get them called out. Oklahoma just tied it up with a run-scoring double.

Oklahoma ties the game with a double off the top of the wall.
Edit: they now have a 3-2 lead after a single got past the centerfielder, allowing the runner to score from second.

Oklahoma walked it off in the bottom of the frame and forced the if-necessary game, which, they of course won. North Dakota State did knock Oklahoma out of a regional many years before that, which made that 2nd loss again to NDSU kind of ironic.
