I'm bored and unimpressed with the remaining WCWS, and won't be watching anymore.

Oklahoma up 2-1. Two more chances for JMU to score and two more times they have to hold Oklahoma. Time running out for the Dukes. Ugh. I don't want to have to root for one of Oklahoma/Bama/Florida State. Though I guess I'll go FSU since their path was pretty improbable too, but they might not make it. Although, I did think Alabama and Oklahoma were the favorites, playing the best softball so far. It will probably be a very high quality series if it happens. With James Madison out, I think I want to see Montana Fouts against that Oklahoma offense.

Wow, FSU up early after a three-run bomb in the first. If they win, both of the finalists will have rallied from losing their first game in the WCWS.

This is quite stunning. FSU has tied their postseason high this season in runs with 6, only in the 3rd inning, against Alabama.
The 6 runs came against the #4 seed in their regional - Kennesaw State, and they were down 2-0 in the 5th in that game.

I wonder if Fouts was hurt by the extra day off. She just did not have it today at all.

Alabama has scored a couple runs but still trails 8-2. FSU just lifted their starter after a leadoff double in the fourth.

Alabama has cut it to 8-5, but they just made the third out of the inning at third base. That's just a baserunning blunder.

Florida State won the first game 8-4, but Oklahoma bounced back tonight with a 6-2 win to set up a winner-take-all game tomorrow afternoon.

Tennessee has put the tying runner on base with two outs in the bottom of the seventh still down 3-1. Edit: James Madison closes it out with a called strikeout, and now they'll have two chances to win one game to get to another super regional. If they were to advance to the super regional, it seems like they'd have potentially a better shot at their first CWS appearance, since they'd be getting the winner of the Missouri regional, who was the No. 8 seed. In 2019, they had to play against No. 2 seed and eventual national champion UCLA. Missouri-Northern Iowa playing now, 0-0 T3. No. Iowa is the home team as they run-ruled the #2 seed. An interesting scenario happens if two host teams (let's say neither Missouri or Tennessee would make the Super Regionals) I'm not 100% sure if this is true but it's rumored, only the approved 20-sites can host super regionals. That means JMU-Northern Iowa, hypothetically, would be played at either Missouri or Tennessee, I imagine. This is happening in the baseball tournament. Virginia and Dallas Baptist are playing their super regional in Columbia, SC. Funny enough, South Carolina even hosted the regional without being a Top 16 seed. I guess #11 Old Dominion was picked as a possible host.

I guess #11 Old Dominion was picked as a possible host. Old Dominion wasn't selected as one of the 20 potential regional hosts two weeks before the tournament started. (I have no knowledge of whether they submitted a bid to host or just simply weren't selected). So even though they were a top seed, they had to travel to another regional regardless. ODU, SCar, Jacksonville U were all drive-ins to South Carolina. They got lucky, but didn't even make it to the Regional Finals. I do know the baseball committee released the finalized 16 sites a day BEFORE the selection show aired. I don't know what the logic was in doing that? What's the point? Super Regional breakdown by conference, 13 P5's, 3 Non-P5. 6 SEC 3 ACC 2 AAC 2 BIG 12 2 PAC-12 1 MVC No B1G Florida was a major flop in both baseball and softball. In softball, they lost as the #4 overall to an unseeded Georgia team, twice, scoring no runs, at home. Then in baseball, UF was the #1 preseason team. Their first game was again against South Florida, which they lost, and then in the very next game they were eliminated by South Alabama 19-1. Ouch.

Oklahoma defeated Florida State 5-1 behind another strong pitching performance from Juarez and another home run from Alo to win the title.

Oklahoma defeated Florida State 5-1 behind another strong pitching performance from Juarez and another home run from Alo to win the title. I don't know whether to dislike this because "Oklahoma", or whether to like this because it means the Huskies got knocked out by the champions, thus lessening the "didn't even make it to the WCWS" sting.
