They have some poor passers and I'm not sure any of them can touch a Thompson or Chi swing. True. Shorter and less ball control. But idk just have a bad feeling about them lmao |

It’s not fun rooting against Brazil anymore. They’re weak sauce now, more so without a healthy Natalia. That could be true, but I'm not counting my chickens yet. Though, if all goes to plan this summer, Brazil's record at the last 3 major tournaments will a QF loss in Rio, not even finishing Top 6 in the World Championship, and possibly a quarterfinal loss in Tokyo. How the mighty have Fallen. and fans here enjoying every moment of it... |

Ogbogu got only 7 attempts in 3 sets though.
Poulter can use the middles more, they are not on court just to block.

Just finished the replay. Haven’t read the thread (yet) to keep pure thoughts.
- JWO defense gives me life.
- Poulter is really trying to work the Foluke connection, which clearly isn’t there yet. I like that she’s sticking with it. It’ll get better.
- Speaking of middles, Chiaka awfully quiet due to lack of attempts. Her speed to the pins is really something though.
- Bic needs to be a bit higher. Lot of forced tips. Still a pretty thing to watch for Robinson when it’s the right height and tempo.
- JT was terrific. I especially like watching her hit from the left out of SR and not having to watch Drews squeak by an out of rotation call by sprinting around the back.
- Jfc if we were going to have these serving errors, good thing to get it out of the system now. Everyone struggled which makes me wonder why there was such an emphasis on service pressure (assuming there was) with this opponent.
- Interesting to try Kim Hill out as a serving specialist instead of Hancock.
- I assume the Tapp/Dixon, and SWP/Plummer/Courtney will rotate being dressed for games. I don’t see Carlini suiting up again the rest of the tournament 😬

Something to work on will definitely be more attempts for the middles. They had 19 total today. (for reference Maglio alone had 18 today, Eda had 20)
I wish they'd run the quick more... I feel like half of Chi's attempts were slides and that's not her best attack

It'd be dumb to not use them more in offense especially considering the lack of a terminator OH/OPP. |
