exactly like if you’re blocking Egonu or Boskovic off the court than you’re probably destroying Serbia or Italy at that point. Plus they really only get blocked when they get greedy. They both have the ability to hit over or around like any block if they choose to. who let a men's team into the competition? the federations of China, Serbia, and Italy |

and her passing isn't as good as Krob's... nor is her offense as good as Larson's. USA aren't going to live and die by whether or not they can block Egonu or Boskovic. wrong! USA will have a CHANCE. Just accept you were wrong and you just let you feeling go against her and you want you favourite to be on her position which didn’t happen. Hill has good and decent performance in all skills, same as krob and larson who had bad matched/set past games. But when did hill last time play a full match?! If she was giving enough playing time on court? She is good in serve, block, passing and defense. Isn't that we all want for a player. She might not be as offensive player as before but she can score. You're in my mentions about Hill... so who has the favorite player complex? Hill played a full match today... where she hit .208 or should we go back to Thailand where she hit .200. Or do we need to go back to where she hit .250 in the CL final, or .250 in the semifinal. It's fine to accept her role as a serving sub or coming in when Larson or MBH aren't cutting it. but she shouldn't be starting because she blocked Stysiak a couple times. |

In fact I’ve barely mentioned her recently and both times it’s been because you brought her up. Anyway Stysiak isn’t at their level and just Bc hill blocked her when she was pissed and swinging with no purpose other than hard doesn’t mean she should start. Nor does it mean that she will shut down the 2 best opposite attackers in the whole world. Case closed. Go find a new bridge to live under |

Where y'all questioning mbh as well and you want your player to get in that roster because she can't handle the oos. Maybe the players weren't the problem, maybe it's us, you. Will larson-krob will be able to digg those balls from egonu and Boskovic? Better than hill? That's still a question mark. As far as i remember krob can't even have a perfect pass and digg when they met imoco and egonu in CL. Larson, when was the last time she met a power hitter like egonu/Boskovic? Yrs ago. So yeah |

I do not like the direction this thread has been going. We do not emulate this kind of negative culture in Team USA gym and we most certainly will not emulate this kind of non-team values in a Team USA match thread. Pull it together or I'm getting the adults involved. Go take a "kumbaya"!  |

Say what you want about Kim Hill but for Imoco she gave them exactly what they wanted and needed which was solid reception, good floor defense, serving and enough attack skill to not be a negative on the floor.

Blocking Stysiak isn’t that big a deal. She drags the ball down a ton. Larson is a better block than Hill. Cant say the same for Krob. Left side blocking won’t win the USA the Olympics. Hill is a good player in many aspects, but just because she blocked Stysiak (the highest error opp probably) should not warrant her a start.

Say what you want about Kim Hill but for Imoco she gave them exactly what they wanted and needed which was solid reception, good floor defense, serving and enough attack skill to not be a negative on the floor. It. does. not. matter. what. she. did. for. Imoco (Which again, in terms of offense was not a whole lot) How much better was Fenerbahce with K-Rob? Loads! Because her specific skillset was what that team needed. It's the same reason she'd be a no brainer starter OH for the majority of NT in the world. That doesn't mean she is the best option for USA based on the pieces around her. The same goes for Hill. Unless we suddenly manifested an Egonu out of nowhere, the circumstances are not the same in terms of what we would need from her at that position. |
