Italy isn’t that good yall. I’ve been saying this forever. You can’t be amazing with this bad of setting. Malinov has had some decent matches this Olympics. Seem like both setters struggled to connect with Egonu which only led to both parties making adjustments that didn't get any better. I thought Egonu's attitude had improved when things didn't go her way and that she had moved past that part of her career but it came roaring back today. Disappointing for her. Time to change my name to +Goncho Goncho is the true queen

It's nice to see China playing with smiles and having fun, even though they're out. The fact that they're doing well is even better. A shame they are doing well only after they are eliminated. I think the Chinese fans prefer their team to do well when they are still in a position to contend for a medal. If the US loses to Italy in pool match and Italy manages to win gold then China could say they're the only team that have managed to beat the champs, LOL.

China played very well today. I’m no expert but I think that Lang Ping lady can coach a bit. I still don't see how she let Zhu continue to play. She was a liability in so many phases of the game. Sad for her. Will this be the last we see of Zhu?

Bummer for China. In 2016 they also went 2-3 and that was good enough for 4th in the pool and they went on to win it. Coincidentally, they also swept Italy in pool play in 2016. They beat Brazil, winner of the other pool, then beat the Netherlands who they lost to in 5 in pool play and then beat Serbia 3-1 who they lost to in 3 in pool play.

WOW... exciting finish. China is still alive in Tokyo. no they aren’t. Their out Yep... you're right, my bad. " Turkey beating Argentina meant China can no longer advance from the group stage even if they win their next two games"

I love how China, despite being eliminated, chose today to compete. Coach Winzer would be so proud. THIS IS SO FUNNY

Hii does any win by Russia against Turkey guarantee them #1 in pool? I posted this in the other thread, but, no. Russia in no way controls their own destiny. Only Italy does. Russia is in a better position than USA, however. Updated Pool B race for #1: Italy is #1 with 3-0 or 3-1 win over USA. USA is #1 if they beat Italy AND they do it in better fashion than Russia beats Turkey. If Russia and USA both win their matches in the same manner, it comes down to Points Ratio, which Russia will likely win as they are already ahead. So Russia will likely be #1 if this happens. Russia can also get #1 if Italy wins in 5 and Russia wins in 3. If Italy wins in 5 and Russia wins in 4, it comes down to Points Ratio, and it's too close to call at that point.

Olympics.com indicates that China is still in contention to make the QFs.
