She should get some of them Russian poppers Go on. You have my attention. I have a drawer by my bed full of them! Do you think there is any mail service fast enough to get to Japan in 2 days?

compare our opposite play in 2016 to 2021 *sheds tear*
also, JWO has been popping, Larson is playing her role well. Bartsch honestly has a pretty big load in terms of passing and OOS swings and is holding up well. Micha has been awesome, Haleigh looks good. I don't think we'll get the most out of Foluke offensively when we're asking her to hit in front of the setter, but that's ok.
let the team get some rest and then prep for Serbia/Italy. The winner of that will (probably) be the best team we've played all tournament long.

Hancock should continue to start. MBH has been defending and passing well. If that can continue to translate into more kills and chances for Washington that would be great. JWO and Drews were dynamite again tonight. Larson defended really well and had some nice attacks that didn’t always drop but she had some good swings

I always giggle at the 180 some people do.
With Russia people thought we were Alyssa summers of volleyball.
Now everyone thinks we are the Bianca del rio.
It’s hilarious to see lol.
(Not that the feelings are valid. We were the Alyssa summers against Russia)

The fact some people on this board thought the DR could come through with an upset We need a new international franchise, Dominican Republic Drag Race "DRDR". Brenda can either compete or be a judge.

Give my girl Annie Drews some respect. Both our opposites as first time olympians came to PLAY I’ll begin with JT has the absolute potential to be one of the best opposites in the world. I love the relationship that JT and Annie have. Annie has caught a lot of grief on this board, and many have not regarded her as a world class opposite. I believe that she is. Her team in Japan paying her a ridiculous (but much deserved) amount of money believes she is, and she believes that she is. Her stepping in, providing this depth to USA, and performing at a high level is proof that she is.

Nice performance from the USA, based on what I could see on NBC in between the commercials. Now the skateboarding came on, and I think the color commentator just spoke an entire full sentence in which I didn't understand a single word he said, even though they were all in English. It's inexplicable, kinda like the bad VB live stream guy, but totally different...
DR starting digging a lot of balls, but were so darn messy in transition. That said, it certainly wasn't for lack of talking on the court. Great to see JT and JP in uniform and warming up. But yes, JP is starting to look a little like Wally Pipp right now; good for Hancock for grabbing opportunity. Playing Italy again feels scary; they might be tougher than Serbia if Brankica is still out? Who knows.
Crazy that the US lost their best player, and their starting (at the time...) setter, and still had the best record in the Pool o' Death, is in the semis, with China and either SRB/ITA and either BRA/ROC all out, and has mostly not even played that well. Several more days of craziness ahead. OK, bed time now!
