Hancock should start in the semis imo but we never know with Karch.

Nice performance from the USA, based on what I could see on NBC in between the commercials. Now the skateboarding came on, and I think the color commentator just spoke an entire full sentence in which I didn't understand a single word he said, even though they were all in English. It's inexplicable, kinda like the bad VB live stream guy, but totally different...
DR starting digging a lot of balls, but were so darn messy in transition. That said, it certainly wasn't for lack of talking on the court. Great to see JT and JP in uniform and warming up. But yes, JP is starting to look a little like Wally Pipp right now; good for Hancock for grabbing opportunity. Playing Italy again feels scary; they might be tougher than Serbia if Brankica is still out? Who knows.
Crazy that the US lost their best player, and their starting (at the time...) setter, and still had the best record in the Pool o' Death, is in the semis, with China and either SRB/ITA and either BRA/ROC all out, and has mostly not even played that well. Several more days of craziness ahead. OK, bed time now!

It’s crazy that most people predicted Italy China and serbia as top 3 And only one will even get the chance to compete.

JWO and MBH are the anchors of this team.
If you think differently, well, OK....

Did anyone else mention that the QFs in London were also against DR and we started our backup setter due to injury then too?
I believe the match ended with Thompson getting a bloody nose from Hooker/Akinradewo.

Is it just me or is Karch letting Annie serve more and more aggressive? I like it… Also I hope he starts Hancock for the rest of the tourney, she did great today!

They have something going for sure. I’d have Hancock and Drews start the semis and if it’s not working, time for JP and JT to come in. Hopefully, it won’t be needed so they have a longer rest come the final round, if ever. Manifesting a USA win.

Sorry! Having to be at work at 5 AM means no 12 AM volleyball for me 🥺 But always here for Drews hitting over .500 with 20+ kills during the Olympics. These two OPPs are making a huge impact this quad!
