Slept in 😴 and watched it this morning on NBC recorded from last night 👀 and so glad I did. USA 🇺🇸 taking care of QF business efficiently 3-0. 👍 Now comes the hardest match of the tournament 😬 Lineup decisions 🤯 but win a match = win a medal 👏 Who would have said this after the ROC disaster? 😳 Followed along on VT as the match proceeded to get full flavor of the night owls 🦉who were up. Lots of great comments. 😋 Can’t believe how many of you VTer’s criticized the Brit 🇬🇧 stream announcer. 😂😂😂😂

Hancock, like all players, has holes in her game but she’s so tough mentally and a great competitor. There doesn’t ever seem to be moments that are too big for her. It would be impossible to ask anything more from two players coming off the bench in Drew’s and Hancock.

MBH might be MVP if the US pulls this out, or at least one of the best OH awards if only she could get her offense more smooth. She's been pretty high error, but her passing has been the absolute best for an OH, including Gabi! If only every player could be better in the one area of their game that isn’t great. The totality of her game is pretty darn good. I’m really impressed by this team. They’re imperfect, but they’re staying together and overcoming some big challenges.

I did NOT see a touch on that video. Left ring finger of the middle. Barely.

Their chances would get a lot higher if she could revert to her VNL or club self. Covering issues with other things... (defense, passing) doesn't solve the issue (she's high error). are you karch's burner? "staying together" kumbayaaaaaa

Credit to Hancock. I thought she was very good. I was critical of her earlier in the tournament so only fair to acknowledge a nice performance. If she can maintain that level USA might be on to something. She has run a much more diverse offense than Poulter, which is a key to our success.

I don’t find Karch to be the best or worst coach, but I’d say their chemistry is clearly a positive.

I hope Hancock has been sending Ed Allen a christmas card every year. Where would she be had he stayed...

Did anyone else mention that the QFs in London were also against DR and we started our backup setter due to injury then too? I believe the match ended with Thompson getting a bloody nose from Hooker/Akinradewo. It's literally the screen grab on the Youtube video.

Hancock needs to start the next match. That seems like a much easier decision than whether to keep Drews in or start JT.

Hancock needs to start the next match. That seems like a much easier decision than whether to keep Drews in or start JT. It should be an easy decision. Everyone can see how much better the hitters have been with Hancock setting a more diverse offense. But... I feel Karch is going to Karch and go back to Poulter where we're setting OH's 75% of the time into a well formed block.
