Apparently Nicolai-Lupo are going separate ways after this season. It's quite surprising, since they don't have better alternatives IMHO. With? Carumbula?

They didn't show up for their 3rd place match against Smedins/Samoilov today, after losing to Adrian Carambula 15:21, 17:21 in the semis of the Italian national tour final. That could be it for Nicolai/Lupo?

It's not decided yet, I personally think that Cottafava & Dal Corso are very interesting young guys who would grow a lot with Nicolai & Lupo, but they are not an upgrade (yet).

I dont follow the European events that closely either, but it seems like there are always high level competitions going on. acrossthepond would asking for some sort of primer be out of line?

Losiak/Bryl and Samoilovs/Smefins played the final event of the Italian Tour as wild cards, Windisch/Cottafava are Italian champions since they accumulated the most points in the 3 main events.

Since English is not my first language I don't fully understand what you are asking me, but I think tafit already answered the question more or less. It depends on the country, but usually foreign teams are also allowed to enter national tours. Usually it's just 1 or 2 teams, but sometimes it happens that a few of those national tournaments are quite stacked. The Swiss tour usually has a live stream, as do some other countries as well. If I happen to see a stacked field I usually post it here :-)

first rumors from Poland: * Kantor / Losiak staying together. That's sort of surprising even here in PL, many ppl expected Losiak will pair with Bryl (especially with Kantor's health being constant concern. It's said Bryl only playing with Losiak in couple of summer tournaments bcoz Kantor unable to play at the moment) *(not a rumor, it's fact) Fijalek is retiring * as a result of both above, Bryl is searching for new partner

Plavins/Tocs splitting up after World Tour Finals. Plavins likely to continue with coach's G.Samoilovs 24 y.o. son Mihail. Tocs's partner a questionmark. Coach Samoilovs has had two teams leave him in the past 2+ years, including his son Aleksander/Smedins & then Graudina/Kravcenoka in 2020.

Classic spanish couple: Lili-Elsa. Elsa is retiring but Lili is searching for new partner for trying her 4th Olimpyc Games in Paris 2024. It sounds TCU´s sophomores Tania Mateeva or Daniela Alvarez

Classic spanish couple: Lili-Elsa. Elsa is retiring but Lili is searching for new partner for trying her 4th Olimpyc Games in Paris 2024. It sounds TCU´s sophomores Tania Mateeva or Daniela Alvarez Kind of sad that the longest partnership in the women's tour is ending. Not sure who will have that honour now. With Slukova stepping down and this, there is no pair left on tour from the Rio Olympìcs. Do you have any insights into her possible new partner?, I see the TCU option unlikely (even though i would like it) Lili strikes me as someone looking for a partner that can be trainig with her full time, possibly moving to Tenerife. I guess we'll see some indication if she signs up for the Itapema 4*.
In other Spanish news, Herrera/Gavira are taking some time to think about the future of the team. If Herrera decides not to try for his 6th Olympics Gavira/Huerta seems like the most likely option.
