S: Poulter, Carlini OH: MBH, May, Krob, Plummer OPP: Thompson, Drews MB: Washington, Ogbogu, Butler L: Wong-Orantes This is my prediction and I'm sticking to it. Sorry Sarah 😬 I want it to be Heavy dose of Plumdawg Millionaire from here on out. Same. Plumdawg Millionaire is the vibe USAV needs. Other thoughts: I feel like in today's game, if you are a pin hitter and you are under 6'3", you be undersized. A bit more mobile on defense in the back court but MBH played the best defense of her life in Tokyo. So, maybe 6'3" is the new 6'2"? I think so 😉 MBH: 6'3" May: 6'3" Krob: 6'2" Plummer: 6'6" Thompson: 6'4" Drews: 6'4" Krob about to win 3 olympic medals in a row and will have never started at an Olympics?! That's crazy. I think May could give her a run for her money with two and a half pro seasons under her belt. We shall see if May becomes a starter or if she is just on the roster, but I think she is definitely in the conversation. Her all around game and volleyball IQ are pretty great. It would be pretty sweet if Krob could find another level offensively by Paris, just like Larson found in Tokyo. I feel like she is the natural choice to replace Larson, but will she be able to fill those shoes? 😬 I am really rooting for her. Chi is the new Foluke. I think she will be lights out after this season with Vakifbank. Guidetti has a knack for developing raw talent. I am mainly defending my choices for who will replace Larson and Akinradewo if they don't keep playing with the team past 2022.

If they hide her in serve receive in the Japanese League this season, I will be very disappointed. Passing is one of her areas of opportunity. 😉

Sorry Sarah 😬 I'll replace Krob with someone else... maybe an up and coming or a breakout player just like MBH this past quad. Krob has reached her offensive peak for the longest time. Though I can see her as more of serving specialist... a replacement for Hill if ever she will still be part of the team.
I'm also not sure about Ogbogu, I feel like Rettke may take her place.
I agree with everyone else.

Based on what? I seriously think people are reading too much into Chi not being a starter in Tokyo. Washington was our slide hitter and Karch trusted the 3 time olympian vet in Foluke to come through in crunch time.

I like this, especially the part about KRob reaching her offensive peak. My only issue is with the talk of replacing Ogbogu; she hasn't reached her ceiling yet IMO. I think Rettke replaces Akindradewo.

I'm not sold on MBH nor KRob. KRob offers nothing offensively, and her passing in Tokyo (albeit greatly limited) wasn't good. MBH didn't have a good tournament offensively, but she passed really well... which is funny because she was supposed to be the hammer on the OH.
I don't think MBH could fill a Larson type role.
Courtney could definitely be a dark horse for Paris at OH.

IMO if there were to be a collegiate outside to make the roster, I think Eggleston would be ahead of May. May is totally part of the future of USA volleyball but I think Logan is better at this point (obviously Paris is 3 years away and I could totally be proven wrong by how they play internationally)

May was the best player in the gym.
