I was actually pointing more to the fact that they were travelling around the Boston area at a variety of schools and multiple schools on the same day.
Endicott played Wesleyan on Thursday prior to the Trinity match on Friday. Babson watched the Trinity match prior to playing them. Trinity was MITs only match of the weekend. Tufts played Coast Guard on Friday and Trinity (CT) at 1 prior to Trinity (TX) at 4:30.
Four match weekends used to be the norm for d3 and are fairly rare at this point. It's tough for a single site to host an event like that and we've all become used to webcasting, live stats, ball shaggers and amenities which make matches run smoothly.

With the new regions, here's a guess at some of the teams we might be looking at being ranked at this point... I may have missed some so other suggestions are certainly welcome
Region I GNAC - Is J&W there yet? Little East - Plymouth is 17-0 but not a lot of weight on there. NESCAC - The whole top half will probably be there. NAC - ??
Region II Commonwealth Coast - Endicott MASCAC - n/a NECC - New England NEWMAC - MIT, Babson, Coast Guard, Smith and maybe more
Region III Empire 8 - St. John Fisher Liberty League - RIT, Ithaca, Clarkson Skyline - Merchant Marine? SUNYAC - Brockport, Cortland
Region IV NYU CUNYAC - ? MAC Freedom - Stevens, Desales, maybe Kings? NJAC - Rowan, Montclair, Camden? United East - ?
Region V Atlantic East - ?? Centennial - Hopkins, Haverford, F&M, Dickinson CSAC - ?? Landmark - Juniata, Scranton, Susquehanna, MAC Commonwealth - Eastern, Stevenson, York
Region VI Emory C2C - Santa Cruz, Christopher Newport ODAC - Va Wesleyan, W&L, Randolph Macon Southern - Berry, BSU USA South - Southern Virginia
Region VII AMCC - MIAA - Calvin, Hope, Albion North Coast - Denison, Wittenberg OAC - ONU, Otterbein, Presidents - Westminster
Region VIII Chicago and WashU CCIW - Milikin and maybe more? Heartland - ?? NACC - Concordia Wisconsin SLIAC - ?? WIAC - Whitewater, Eau Claire, Stevens Point, Lacrosse

I am tracking Quality Wins(QWI) against top 100 teams and using that data to create rankings by region. The C bids are assigned by quality wins, NOT the NCAA criteria. The teams with quality wins should be getting the bids. The top QWI scoring team for each conference is assigned the pool A bid for these purposes. So you will not see Mary Hardin-Baylor on this list since their QWI is low due to their weak schedule (they are still first in the AMSW and looking at the A bid). The 3 not ranked schools who qualify for a pool C bid based on QWI are all in the region of death, region XIII. they are Aurora(11.84), Wisc-La Crosse(11.23), and Earlham(10.45). I am tracking Quality Wins(QWI) against top 100 teams and using that data to create rankings by region. Exceptional work here. Why is UC Santa Cruz not placed in the same region as the SCIAC schools? Santa Cruz is playing in a faux conference, the Coast to Coast conference(C2C), that was created out of the embers of the Capital conference. I consider it a faux conference since they do not play a conference schedule. It was driven by Christopher Newport, Salisbury, and Mary Washington to save their pool A bid. Those 3 schools just asked anybody who was free to join them. They have not received the same exemption that the UAA has to be ranked in multiple regions. I have no idea, but guessing the NCAA wants to see how they operate for a few years before giving them that status. Actually, region 6 makes sense, as the competitive teams, at least volleyball wise, are all there, with the exception of Santa Cruz. Is this a bad thing for region X(west region)? It did cost them a ranking spot. They are ranking 7, 1 team short of a count to get 8. But at least Santa Cruz will be ranked in region VI, so the west region schools that played them do get a ranked match out of it. And if they were in region X, it would be them anyway so the 7 works in that sense, at least this year.

WashU has a ways to go to even get in the tournament. At 11-7, 2-3 with an 0-7 record against teams on the above list, They are not looking good for a pool C bid. I am guessing the regional site selection process will be the same as always. They will pick 64 teams and then see where they are(not considering geography during the process - wink wink nod nod). They will start with their 6 airplane trips and how they need to use them. Will it be less trips this year due to budget? If they can build a West regional in TX with 5 flights(NW AQ, SCIAC AQ, Colorado College, Santa Cruz, TBD) to Texas(MHB, Trinity(TX), Southwestern) they will start with that probably. How Santa Cruz and Southwestern finish up will be key.

The ten regions just means that 1-2 regions will have multiple number 1's, though in year one I have to think that they will bend over backwards not to put three 1's in the same region, but we'll see. As for Wash U, a lot of schools hosting the finals don't want to host the regionals. You lose your facility for about 5-6 days to host the finals, to lose it for 4 more days right before that and burn-out your staff before the finals even start, well that can burn bridges on campus right before you need them most.
