This was truly one of the weirdest matches I’ve ever seen. So weird for Wisconsin to just dominate for 2 sets and then get dominated themselves just to go on and dominate again…. How were none of the 4 sets competitive ? Similar to the 2000 Neb-Wisconsin national title match - that went five sets, but none was close.

That match seemed really quick last night through two sets; I was wondering if Minnesota was still at their hotel since their match didn't start til 8:30 lol; also great to see Smrek get early action as well; she seems like she's 6-9 with sandals on after the match so I'm wondering if she's 6-10 with her volleyball shoes on.

You know what is determinative? Home court. Agree. Don’t think it’s a ranking drop-off thing. I’d more attribute (1) home court + amp from finally having fans again, (2) Baylor mental drop-off from ranked “upset” win the night before, (3) early season “wackiness”, for lack of a better term, as teams work through defining themselves. No doubt, Wisky is really good. And it may take Baylor some time to find their stride. I didn’t think they were particularly impressive against Minn, and certainly not against Wisky (passing? Where was vandermark? 7 PTS?!) Wisc is fun to watch. While there are a lot of people at Badger matches, I haven't thought in the Sheffield era that that has made a significant difference. It's a pretty quiet crowd. This weekend the students were engaged, but that will drop off. They tried their best. Still pales compares to say Purdue and Illinois.

No cheers. No volume.

It's funny when they throw out stats about how many home matches have been won in a row, blah blah blah. But then when you see their record they are 18-1.
It's kind of like talking about the Nittany Lions home winning streak from 2007-2010...
Usually a home winning streak happens when a team isn't losing, period!

Oh, and by the way, they are counting a forfeit by Ohio State that the Buckeyes actually won in 2000, so that doesn't count.

Just watched the replay on BTN+ and I thought both commentators were excellent. The color analysis was really informative.
