Texas should be concerned they're getting pushed by/losing sets to Arizona and Notre Dame. Not about Wisconsin or their ranking Reminders of what happened in Week 2 with Arizona and Notre Dame: Arizona: lost to UTEP 3-2, beat Northwestern 3-2, beat New Mexico State 3-2. Notre Dame hosted the tournament: Lost to Bowling Green 0-3, lost to Cincinnati 1-3, lost to Milwaukee 1-3.

This is the Fall 2021 poll. Not the Spring 2021 poll. Right. I fail to see how results from the previous season are relevant to the current one beyond the preseason poll. I don't have an issue with anyone ranking Texas No. 1 of course, but the idea that Wisconsin shouldn't be ranked No. 1 because they lost in the Final Four last season is quite dubious. Because the occurrence of this year’s “seasons” are happening like all the other seasons and there’s no super seniors.

Here's my poll. It's the first week I switched Wisconsin and Texas. Love for the undefeated teams overall, (except those that haven't beaten a ranked team, sorry Colorado, you are my next in)--per why I put Ole Miss in there beating WKU. I really think so many teams in this poll could all beat up on each other and various outcomes depending on the day. Should be a fun NCAA tournament!
1)Wisconsin 2)Texas 3)Pittsburg 4)Ohio State 5)Louisville 6)Utah 7)Tennessee 8)Baylor 9)Nebraska 10)Washington 11)Florida 12)Purdue 13)Minnesota 14)Creighton 15)Kentucky 16)Oregon 17)Stanford 18)BYU 19)San Diego 20)UCLA 21)Georgia Tech 22)Pepperdine 23)Penn State 24)Ole Miss 25)Western Kentucky

This is my ballot 1- Wisconsin 2- Texas 3- Pitt 4- Ohio State 5- Louisville 6- Minnesota 7- Oregon 8- Washington 9- Utah 10- Baylor 11- Purdue 12- Stanford 13- BYU 14- Florida 15- Nebraska 16- Creighton 17- Georgia Tech 18- Kentucky 19- Penn State 20- Tennessee 21- San Diego 22- UCLA 23- Pepperdine 24- Colorado 25- Western Kentucky I always start my process each Sunday by ranking the teams within conferences. I had Utah, Washington, Oregon. You went Oregon, Washington, Utah. It is not easy differentiating those three right now. It is the same thing when doing the Big Ten after Wisconsin.

Texas should be concerned they're getting pushed by/losing sets to Arizona and Notre Dame. Not about Wisconsin or their ranking I don't think any of us Texas fans posting on volleytalk are going to have any impact whatsoever regarding the play on the court, whatever we choose to focus on. That said, I love the volleytalk poll. It does a great job of driving discussion. It creates a sense of ownership within the message board. Whatever the reasoning, a lot of thought goes into each and every poll submitted. People constantly volunteer their polls in an effort to remain accountable. I don't have any problem where anyone chooses to rank Texas right now. #4 is the lowest right now. I'm fine with that. I'm also curious to see how Arizona and Notre Dame play the rest of the season. The San Diego win looks better now than it did on opening day. Texas now has three wins over teams ranked from 11-20. They're still undefeated. Whatever issues they have, they're certainly not alone in having issues, even among the top ranked teams in the country. The Big 12 schedule is a little odd in that there are no home and away matches. It's all two matches against teams played consecutively (different days, but still back to back). Texas has road trips to Ames, Lawrence, and Waco, along with Lubbock. Baylor is a top 10 type team, and ISU/KU are solidly top 50. Possibly top 25 by the end of the year. If they get a top 4 seed, they'll have earned it.

Texas should be concerned they're getting pushed by/losing sets to Arizona and Notre Dame. Not about Wisconsin or their ranking Why would Texas be concerned? Notre Dame & Arizona played damn good and pushed Texas which is a good thing. Nebraska should be worried about why they got reverse swept by a stanford team that Texas beat 3-0😬

OP was complaining about Texas. Texas has no business losing sets to Notre Dame. Notre Dame won more sets against Texas.... than they did against Bowling Green the week prior....

I don't understand why everyone expects Texas to just sweep every team they play. Looking back at that match it's not like Notre dame played awful and just beat Texas while doing so. They played very well so I give credit where credit is due. Texas still won the match but Notre dame is not just some scrub team
