the crime Manafort committed when he shared internal polling data with Russia. Why do you have to be such a child about it?

The solution then is to permit a congressional investigation into what happened one way or another, whether that's Milley's actions OR Trump's regarding January 6. The Republicans held five investigations into Benghazi and the death of four Americans--five died on 1/6, yet the ones aggressive regarding Benghazi don't want an investigation this time. The only reason to prevent an investigation is there's guilt involved. It is no different than schools lawyering up when the NCAA said there were violations. If there's no guilt, then you let the investigation go forward (like the five times nothing was found regarding Benghazi)
In terms of Milley, the argument right now is based on what Woodward says and Woodward has played fast-and-loose before with facts. He's not the same reporter he was in the 1970s. Milley's testimony before Congress shows that he was following established procedure. Most of those rules have been in place since nuclear war almost happened with the Soviets in late 1983 (Able Archer).

The only reason to prevent an investigation is there's guilt involved. It is no different than schools lawyering up when the NCAA said there were violations. If there's no guilt, then you let the investigation go forward (like the five times nothing was found regarding Benghazi) This is bad thinking. Lawyering up does not equal guilt.
