Because of the Thursday game date, there might be more UCR fans and fewer Hawaii fans than usual. Still, I hope the Hawaii fans turn this into a "home on the road" game for the Wahine.

Because of the Thursday game date, there might be more UCR fans and fewer Hawaii fans than usual. Still, I hope the Hawaii fans turn this into a "home on the road" game for the Wahine. Back in 2015 I was on vacation in SoCal during a Wahine road trip to UCR & CSF so I attended both matches. At the UCR match there was way more Hawaii fans than UCR fans in attendance. UCR was having an autograph session after the match and I felt so bad for the UCR team as the tables they set up on the court after the game where the players were supposed to sign autographs were basically empty except for some players family. Almost all the fans were out in the lobby trying to get selfies and autographs of our Wahine especially Nikki Taylor who had a line of people trying to get her autograph and a selfie. That was the match Hawaii beat UCR 25-5 in the 3rd and final set. I asked Dave if he had ever beaten a team so badly and he said "...not in the rally scoring era".... |

This was such a weird pairing of weekends. Davis and Riverside are NOT close, i wonder why they couldn’t go Riverside and Fullerton this week.

Well at least the road trip isn’t TERRIBLE, I wonder if they are going to head out right after the Riverside game or wait until the next day to drive out, and then still get adequate practice and rest before Davis, who i am still very nervous about |

It's approx a 6-7 hour drive from Riverside. I've watched a few UC Davis matches this year and they're pretty solid despite their record. So yeah, I'm kind of nervous about this match also! |

Check in at Davis, then hold practice. Probably have a serve/receive practice Saturday morning. |

Previous to that it was CSF with UCR for the previous 4 years or so..... |

Yeah..because there is no other BW school in the NorCal area, Davis is going to always be paired with some SoCal school that maybe doesn’t have a true travel partner like UCSB/CP. I would have thought maybe Davis and Bakersfield would be a better fit.
