Ouch, looks like they sent in Ham over Leo and Demirtas Demitras is Red shirting. Ham wasnt brought in to replace BVS cause shes struggling. She was brought in to get experience and playing time. There is NO way this is an indication that she is above Leo on the depth chart. |

Not sure where Demirtas fits in all of this. Demirtas will have difficulty getting playing time in 2023. UH will be reloading with pins that year. |

They gave Ham playing time in a blow out loss. thats all that was. If BVS was struggling and we were loosing, I would bet all the money in the world leo would come in before anyone that travelled today. |

Ham came in for BVS to not wear out BVS, and the Wahine were leading by a wide margin. That is all that was, nothing more.

That's why Demirtas traveled with the team; for practice and emergency purposes. |

Looked like Demirtas responsibility this trip will be to keep set location information. She had a clipboard with her all match, and seemed like she was writing things down after every point.

This lineup is a ‘ball control” and “defense first”lineup IMHO. We lacked size with 5 of the 7 starters 6-0 or under but we dug and controlled the ball pretty well so this lineup did well agains UCR. Don;t know how this lineup will do against teams with dynamic players and more athleticism so I hope Robyn has another lineup ready to go to play with the big dogs in the conference.

Remember also, Ham is from California. Whenever possible, Robyn is going to put her in, on the road.

As far as a starting lineup goes, the only sure thing is BVS, Amber Igiede, and Tayli Ikenaga starting. All the other starting positions can change from match to match. I will not be surprised, or shocked, if that does occur the rest of the season.
