Vibo with some nice plays to edge out Monza in set 1. Nishida had some clutch kills That was a fun back and forth 1st set! Hope both teams keep it up, but if Monza doesn't clean up their defense......

Vibo wins another deuce set after a block. First two contacts for Monza haven’t been that great, but Vibo is blocking well.

If Nishida ever finds that Leon consistency from the service line, it's game over.

Mauricio has been making a couple of uncharacteristically bad passes on some medium/easy serves

Vibo completes the sweep! Great blocking & come from behind play. FLAVIO was a beast, and Nishida’s range was impressive today

This was not a good game for Federici. His passing was pretty shaky, and his defense was off. I like him but this was a painful performance to watch.

Today's results
Taranto 3-1 Piacenza Tommaso led the way for Taranto. Russell, Cester, and Rossard weren't as great offensively.
Perugia 3-1 Padova Padova competed but ultimately not enough. Plotnytskyi might be one of the most valuable bench players in the league.
Modena 3-1 Verona It was a close one, but Modena's pins were enough to seal the deal. Leal had a good offensive match with 17 kills and only 1 error. Mozic had 22 kills, but 12 errors. Kyed Jensen had one of his better offensive performances with 24 kills.
Milano 3-1 Ravenna Jaeschke had a nice match (55/27 passing and 18-3-32 attacking). Patry as well (15-3-30, 2 blocks, 2 aces). Piano had 8 blocks (!), and Milano won that category heavily with 13 scoring blocks compared to Ravenna's 2.

Russell not getting back to his former form spells TROUBLE for team USA. Volleyball League Serie A www.legavolley.it/match/35004It was an ugly match for Piacenza. They game up 9 RE and Recine had 5 of them. They tried that lineup from the last match and their reception and serving didn't match up to last time. Russell is playing better and gradually gaining the confidence of Lolo.....but how far remains to be seen. These 3-4 next matches may well determine the fate of Piacenza making any noise this year. The consistent play of the top 4-5 teams is obvious. In the semis of the Del Monte Super Cup against Perugia on March 5th could be a huge boost. But sometimes you are who your record says you are.

How many foreigners are ok to play in starting lineups? Just wondering coz Moderna’s line up is stacked. But j don’t know the nationalities either but it’s bruno (brazil), ngapeth (french), nimir (Dutch), leal (brazil), libero (Italian) , stankovic (serbia), mazzonee (italian) and libero (italian)

You have to have three players with Italian citizenship in your starting 7.
For Modena it is Rossini, Mazzone, and Stankovic (who has Italian citizenship).
