I guess Stone retired, but I hope there was not pressure. Foster got fired quickly. I realize they struggled in the NCAA tournament, but they had 6 flipping league titles, 4 outright and 2 shared, in a row, and one season missing the NCAAs and he was gone. Ugh. Foster laid egg after egg in the NCAA tournament with some of the most talented teams Ohio St has ever seen. I think Gene was looking for someone to take the program to the next level and didn't think Foster had the right stuff to do it. McGuff has not been as good, however. To reach the league record, he would need to go 45-1 going forward. Plus, no self imposed postseason ban. |

Apparently Podraza is going to be setting Londot all the time now.
Another Londot kill puts OSU up 13-11, and then a tough Londot serve makes Purdue err. 14-11

He has landed more flash in the recruiting world but has failed to deliver on the court... then again he has had to deal with Maryland more than Foster did. Most Buckeye have thought he has been on really thin ice the past few years. |
