Somewhat unrelated, I still miss Mac Court.
I realize it was outdated and probably a costly maintenance nightmare, but, man, it was sure an exciting atmosphere for watching volleyball. I still remember a 2007 (I think) UW @ Oregon match where Oregon brought in the entire band...not just the pep band...but the entire band for the start of the match.
You could not hear yourself think it was so loud. Knight arena is a great facility, but it doesn't have the character that the old place had.

Oregon was also a much better home team at Mac Court. Since MKA, we might still have a better PAC record in road matches than home (I haven't checked in a couple of years, but it was true very recently). I forget what the typical home edge is (I think it's a 20% differential, maybe?) but to have a road advantage is WILD.

Not sure how precise these numbers will be, but this is how I predict the flow of the match. UW | 12 | 15 | 31 | 25 | 104 | UO | 25 | 25 | 29 | 17 | 102 |

didn’t Nuneviller have like 38 kills or something ridiculous last time this happened

didn’t Nuneviller have like 38 kills or something ridiculous last time this happened In the spring Washington swept Oregon 3-0 on Friday Mar 5. When the teams met again on Sunday Mar 7, Washington won the first two sets. Oregon then won the final three sets of the match. Nuneviller was 35-1-65 .523 in the second match. (She was 12-2-32 .313 in the first match.) Washington hit .356 in the first match compared to Oregon's .149, but in the second match Washington hit .202 and Oregon hit .276. Both matches were played at Oregon.

Oregon wins on defense, but they will win easier if Brooke and Taylor step up like they did against Stanford. Ducks negate WA's strengths, and though WA is finding their form somewhat, they still aren't able to be consistent enough to threaten a Ducks team that plays their level. '
