Another consideration is Borup's offensive load. She had 19 kills against Stanford, and was over .200 on 64 swings. That is REALLY good for the Ducks, and she's been taking a bigger share of the offense since Nuneviller's ankle roll. However, her passing efficiency dropped a little bit, understandably, in response to this. There's more downside for the Ducks in weaker passing than in lower OH production, but it's a fine line, esp. since we'll rely on the OH matched up against the setter to get kills against good blocking teams like Stanford and UW. Balancing that load will be something to watch.

Key to the match: UW Block.
If UW can get their block going and can at least touch/slow down more balls at the net, they have a shot.
If they can't, Ducks in 3 or 4.

I really can see this going anything from 3-0 UW to 3-0 UO and anything between. There are no other possibilities, so I'll agree with you.

I heard players see Oregon as rivalry more than any others. I think it's generational. When I was a kid, I don't remember any "Oregon rivalry" at all. But in the late 90s and especially the 2000s, Oregon football got really good and beat Washington a bunch of times in a row. Suddenly there was this big Oregon rivalry. Under Chris Gobrecht, UW WBB was a major power and had an intense rivalry with Tara Vandiver's Stanford teams. So there has long been a rivalry with Stanford on the women's side. And of course the HUGE rivalry for rowing is with Cal. Has been for about 100 years now. In football, USC was the big rival for a while, culminating in the "All I saw was purple" (Marinovich) game. The Stanford rivalry (in volleyball and women's basketball) is similar - the team you are sick-and-tired of coming in second to. Needless to say, that is a bit of a one-way rivalry. UW's rivalries with WSU and Oregon are two-ways.

The annual UW match at Eugene is only about 4 hours away and we've yet to have our annual Redbeard admonishment of MKA for not installing Taraflex?
C'mon, Man!

This Husky homer says Oregon doesn’t have the serve game (8th in conf. in aces per set) to put the Huskies out of system as often as usual. Yes their backcourt’s good, but we’ve got the arms. Huskies in four.

Huskies in four. You don't need to serve aces to get teams out of system. Oregon with their drop serves are one of the toughest serving teams in the Pac.

I think I want Washington to win this just to create more chaos in the Pac. But also, I want more than one seed from the Pac and Oregon is more likely to be seeded of these two teams so then there’s that. Idk just go 5 I guess 🤷🏻♂️
