OMG. Are these stats correct? Batenhorst and Lexi are hitting 0.00%?
(Just kidding. Just trying to get a rise out of the Cornhusker faithful and give them something to kvetch over for the next umpteen days. It's almost like they enjoy it.)

Although Cook might not be entirely impressed by the performance tonight, maybe he’ll be happy Roddy kept the ball in from the service line tonight lol jk

Good game. I definitely like this Iowa team, and I’m glad they kept it so close (and as a Husker, I’m also glad they didn’t take a set ). I’ve always liked Buzzerio, and Vander Weide is a very nice addition to the offense. Also, I’m 100% rooting for Vicki Brown. That said, glad the Huskers swept. Not really too concerned about Batenhorst/Sun at this point. Honestly, I feel like we need to get Caffey and Stivrins more attempts. Yeah, their efficiencies are great, but I wouldn’t mind seeing them getting more TA’s.

Yeah, their efficiencies are great, but I wouldn’t mind seeing them getting more TA’s. Not sure why you wouldn't be concerned about Batenhorst/Sun. Nebraska shouldn't have a glaring positional weakness on the court. They need to figure that out if they want to make the most of the second half of conference and postseason. Both OH should be able to hit above 0.

Having 0 L1 offense isn't great... and not sustainable Agree. I’m starting to get on the Krause on the left, Whitney on the right bandwagon. At least Whitney crushes it every time she swings. I think Coach has found his RS or one of his RSs for the next 3 1/2 years. Krause in conference is hitting 351, #2 in scoring, #3 in blocks, averaging 3.34 pts per set. And tall enough and savy enough to develop into a dominant blocker. Not sure when Cook had all that in an RS.

It would be insane to move her. She’s playing great and since they made the commitment to playing her there the team has been playing fantastic. There is just zero chance they’ll move her and they shouldn’t.

Both OH should be able to hit above 0. I’m not concerned, because I think that they can figure things out. I’ve seen teams who have real weaknesses at a given position, and in those cases, there’s no solution. They’re just stuck. Stuck with what they’ve got. That’s not the case for this Nebraska team with Batenhorst and Sun as our options, imo. I don’t think you can squarely put this on Batenhorst and/or Sun. I think there’s more to it than that.

Agree that moving Krause from opposite would be a mistake. The Huskers are finally getting consistent offensive production from that spot and Krause, out of the three freshman outsides, is the best blocker. She'll get more consistent blocking wise on the right as the season progresses. Someone made a comment that the middles needed more touches, and watching the match that was my thinking. But when you look at the box score, the middles had 18 kills on 27 attempts and only 2 errors. For a three set match that's pretty solid. At what point do you pull the pin on the Batenhorst experiment? And is Sun the answer? Was hoping that question would be answered by the time the Huskers hit the teeth of their schedule, but it lingers. You hate to change the line up prior to this 5 match stretch coming up, but when you're already hitting 0.000, you're not taking that much of a risk by putting Lauenstein in the starting rotation.

Maybe start Sun on Saturday? It's different coming off the bench as opposed to building up confidence and a solid performance over the length of a a match.
Or let Whitney play lol

Is this going to be a close match? Kudos to the Iowegians. Clearly this was more competitive than in years past. I have no problem admitting I was wrong. I'm just glad the right team won.
