Sun needs sets in system if she's gonna be starting on the left. This whole use the middle as a decoy to set the OH one on one on the pin, running combination plays with the leftside hitting a 2 ball, etc... let her get in on some of that action. She needs to build her confidence back. Everything can't be bumpsets from right back or moonballs. I was just about to say this. She gets no in system sets on the left and only gets set high balls out of system. She used to get set in system on the right in RO1 but hardly ever now and it’s hard for her to get into a rhythm if she’s not getting good looks.

Its time they start putting Women's Volleyball on ESPN and more accessible for everyone to watch! Nothing that happens above the Mason-Dixon line holds much interest for them.

They don’t need that player as a set of choice, if she or anyone can be solid in a limited role this team can win Well we have a difference of opinion. I don't need Sun to match Kubik's offensive output. The point is if the only time you set a player is in difficult situations, you shouldn't be surprised when she starts to get tentative or struggles. Mix things up, feed her some actual nice one on ones as well and let her build her confidence back up as a hitter. She's a great athlete but the mental game is important.

I don’t disagree, but as you said it’s mental for both her and team. If you take the average of what Sun has been career at Nebraska, they’re as good as anyone. Trust in her is definitely an issue. As I said a .220 Sun is all they need.

That was easily the best Devaney Center crowd of the year, and that includes this year’s spring season.

Wouldn’t have thought this a month ago but I’m now leaning toward NU beating Wisc on Wed. The middles cancel each other out, I expect both sides to have middle production. Losing Hart hurts because that moves Robinson to the middle and Smrek to the right. She is physically imposing but slow off the floor, Krause gives NU an advantage at RS. Kubic and Orzol are close and imagine both will get production. The other 2 lefts for both teams are all over the place. Probably an advantage with Loberg and Demps? Setters are close. Libero are close. But NU has the advantage on the other DS. Civitia is solid when the ball comes straight to her but is a liability when she has to take a step in either direction laterally. Then as always it comes to the serve game, close but I think at home NU is more comfortable and gets Wisc out of system more than Wisc does.

Batenhorst has had multiple bad games in a row now, I don't know if you try to let her work out the kinks or consider starting Sun again. Sun hasn't been lights out, but as others said, she's never getting set in system at all. I mean Knuckles is getting more in-system sets than her during a match.

Good ball control for Nebraska to get the amount of sets to the middles and right side that they did.

My grandfather did not have the distinguished career at Sterling High School that Lexi Rodriguez did, but he could claim that he played football against this one guy from rival Dixon High School by the name of Reagan.

I'm not making excuses for her (she's a super senior), but I do feel like Sun always ends up getting much more difficult looks than Batenhorst who gets a bunch of in system sets. 100% agree I second that!

There’s something off about Batenhorst’s swing. I’m not saying it’s bad but it’s almost as if she feels like she has to drop her elbow due to lower and quicker sets?
