Cook admitted that they sped up the tempo to Kubik starting in Big Ten play...it has obviously helped Madi. It could also be true that Hames is setting the same sped-up ball to Batenhorst and she may* do better with a higher ball. Might bode well for Wednesday, as senior Hames better equipped to address than freshman Batenhorst. Or just play Sun, she should be able to play the faster, lower set. Sun can also play OPP, and her and Krause can continue to switch OH & OPP. I think that disrupts the other team's blocking. Time will tell. Look for Coach Cook to address or at least try to address the Batenhorst/Sun slump. There is just no way they’re moving to a system with a lot of moving parts, players switching randomly etc… it’s the exact thing they moved away from that turned their season around. Trying different players in different positions as they head into a brutal stretch of season would be insane and they’re not insane. In case anyone has missed it, even with that position struggling l, they’ve gotten better and played really good volleyball. |

Starting Sun would only be a continuation of that. I don't know if that is a good move. For the coaches to decide. Just speculating, based on speculation on setting impacts on Batenhorst. So speculation based on speculation presented in a sports thread. Probably all wrong stupid stuff, but I'm a bored FOG. |

Just curious, how far into the Nebraska-Purdue match was it when the Wisconsin-Penn State marathon finally finished, and BTN switched over? Several points into the second set. Not as bad as I would have thought. Thanks. |
