I cannot believe the lengths some of y'all will go to ignore the fact that this country isnt some infallible beacon of prosperity and equality. You seem incapable of realizing that protesting by kneeling durijg a song doesn't mean you want to burn the whole nation to the ground. Lock the thread, because this isn't going anywhere but in circles. Like were they born yesterday or something? |

Def missed the game last night and came on to see what peoples thoughts were on performances.
Y’all should apply for CNN and Fox. Idk how well they pay these days though. I hear viewership is down.

I think it’s disappointing a day after Veterans Day that they took a knee also but heaven forbid we support those who gave up their life for this country. Because after all, it’s just not popular these days is it. What makes you think they don’t support veterans? Do you know who put the idea in Kaepernick’s head to kneel in the first place? A Veteran! A veteran who risked his life so people have the freedom to exercise their First Amendment rights. You have heard of the constitution haven’t you? |

I don't think it does. Perception comes from proximity. It's easy for fans that have no skin in the game to make generalizations based on a specific moment or anecdote, but recruits/players build relationships with coaches and players, they visit the campus and town, talk to school administrators, other students, fans, etc. That's where they develop their perspective and decide if the environment feels comfortable to them. I know it has hurt the Huskers with some players and incidents like this don't help. I'm sure that is true, but also the same environment has likely helped with other recruits. No school has an environment that appeals to every recruit. |
