I am not a Nebraska expert. But from what I have seen, setting is not their problem. Hames puts up a good ball. She's quick. Any issues they have with their outsides I have a hard time tracing back to the setter. I think Lexi Sun is a very streaky hitter. I've seen her play really well in some matches and poorly in others. She's such a polarizing topic I almost hate to bring her up. But last night it was obvious the Badgers were going after her specifically with their game plan. I don't think her issues last night had anything to do with the sets. I think the passing that eliminated some of the setting options really hurt Sun because the block was well formed. Just 2 cents. With all due respect, that sort of conclusion is indicative that you don't watch enough of their matches. I don't think I've missed a viewable match of Nebraska's in the entirety of Nicklin's career there. She had a good match yesterday overall. There have been many nights where she's been the main culprit. That's fair. I don't see all their matches. I'm only commenting on the ones I see (when they come to WI or when they are on BTN).

Somehow I come out of this match feeling more confident in Nebraska’s ability to make a deep run in the tourney. Would love to see them beat Purdue and gain some momentum. Hames/Stivrins/Sun/Caffey/Schwarzenbach deserve a great run to cap off their collegiate careers. Sure, they were in a position to beat one of the best teams in the country on their home floor. Nebraska making a run wouldnt surprise me, a disappointing second round exit wouldn’t either.

Not a Nebraska fan per se ( great respect though), and I hope this is recognized as an objective discussion. If you look at this group of Nebraska outside hitters (they were all ranked near the top of their respective classes) and their hitting % this year, one can’t help but come away puzzled (or negative as some call it) by the obvious disparity, especially in light of the program’s recent success at developing outside hitters at the highest levels. I have two questions (without referring to any specific player). 1. Would Nebraska have fared better trading the superb defense at the setter position for a higher hitting % (say 5 percentage points)? 2. Would you be intrigued to see what essentially the same group of hitters could do with a different setter? I wish Nebraska success in the coming tourney given none of teams are likely go very far! Cook put the voodoo curse on his players from all the jerking aound he did to them this season.. He has totally unsettled his team and it is all his fault. Ok then, I guess we have the reason. It was the voodoo curse.

Wisconsin: We are Big Ten champs! We are best in the B1G! Purdue: Revisiting. Having a specific teams number doesn't mean somebody else doesn't have yours
