I will accept USC not getting an at-large bid. HOWEVER: If High Point gets an at-large and USC does not - I will have to delete my account. I swear I was about to make a High Point-USC bubble battle joke. It's perfect. If inDy wins, you could always send trojan a foot since you can't sell it on ebay

Attended the match and went bar hopping after lol…I was not expecting an SC win but they fought hard for this game you could feel the energy in the arena. Tuiniga has been catching a lot of flack last few days on some threads but she is the future of this team and a good damn leader out there. UCLA with LUPER is a final four team, without…. I hope they make the sweet 16. Also, props to the SC DJ he is so lit the atmosphere was crazy. Mostly Everyone was hype except for a few Karen’s who need to stay home and watch with a mute screen. I think they didn’t like the hip hop music 🙄😂 But other than that stoked to see both SC and UCLA stacking up with talent for the next few years. The match's are way better without the DJ. I am agnostic on the DJ. But, it’s a college rivalry game. He’s there for the kids. Not for us old ladies.

Interesting to see comments about the DJ. Don't have a dog in this fight & not attempting to "stir the pot".
Was a bit surprised to hear the unedited version of Saweetie's song "My Type" during the Stanford match on Wednesday while streaming the match. The camera showed fans were having a great time including several kids, the DJ and a female fan started a battle dance to the song. I'm a big fan of the artist and the song but was a little taken aback. Texas also has a DJ during matches that does a great job getting the crowd up, hyped and loud.

I’m pretty sure it was the radio edit of “my type” it’s just really hard to tell because they barely censor the cuss words anymore lol

The clean version is pretty distinct from the unedited version. Was trying to find the match on Youtube to find that segment but no luck. Again not trying to stir the pot, congrats to USC on the win yesterday let's see if the selection committee rewards them tomorrow.

Close. The rule is entire ball needs to be above the height of the net for it to be illegal (but essentially the same thing as her hands). However, the standard among top refs seems to be let it go if it's close. I can understand "let it go if it's close". Neither ref actually has the correct angle to judge that, unless it happens right next to the net. However, after you mentioned this I was watching for it, and yeah, on the last point it sure looked like Martin was above the net when she attempted to set the ball over to USC. I thought Noob's original post said that the setter took off from behind the line. Wouldn't that make the 'above the net' irrelevant, just as it does for any back-row attacker? (He said '...setters jump setting from the back row', maybe

No. She was right on the net. My mistake - I misinterpreted 'setting from the back row' to mean take-off location instead of rotation position. Doh.

The players love it, the students love it and most of the Spectors love it. I always crack up at the middle aged “OC” moms that get drunk and have a blast just living life dancing.

With K-State's loss, USC is now within the RPI cutline. They just need Hawaii to not f it up!
