SB looks legit. They are from the eye test, the team to beat next year. As for Uh this might be a good thing for them. A wake up call as they were most of the time cruising through conference play. Like I said before, I think our Rpi might be in the 60s. Is that enough to justify a 4 seed in a sub regional? Maybe but if thT were to happen, maybe playing the seeded team first with nothing to lose will catch the opposing team off guard and maybe, just maybe have the potential to pull off an upset. No. Someone had at least 5 4 seed types in a pod having to fly, and none were close to Hawai'i in RPI. Utah Valley is going to BYU, as is Utah and probably Boise State. Do you see Hawai'i being flown past UCLA or Washington to Nebraska, either Creighton or Nebraska, or Texas, or even further? I don't. Someone from the Northeast will be flown to be the 4 in the west coast pods.

When was the last time a conference team beat the Wahine twice in the season? I think Cal Poly swept the conference when Adley was a senior. I just looked and CP swept the conference in 2017 when Adlee was a junior. In 2018, they split with Hawaii. That was their only conference loss. You have a good memory.

I’m a little disappointed we didn’t see MJ or Leo play tonight.

The girls were close to pulling it off, just glad they made it into the tournament. Wish I could see the senior night

Learning lessons from this match: 1. Wagoner is good, but not clutch. 2. Amber when shut down, gets shut down. 3. Sky, Amber one dimensional. 4. Lang needs to set more to the Opposite position. 5. Stop TIPPING! 6. Stop relying on the left side to bail you out! 7. Anyone know how to slide, x plays, jumpserve? 8. Ikenaga needs to bump set right side more often when taking second hit. 9. Cover Blocks! 10. Repeat! I think calling Amber one dimensional is a bit much. But the two problems our middles have been able to hide all year are our inconsistent RS and our lack of an OH other than BVS who can put it down with consistency. I wonder who will step up next year. It’s actually not a bit much. There are many good hitters, but few 6 rotational players. Ambers game needs to include slides as well. Until she can, she’ll be one less step complete. The question now is, who will step up in the first round of the NCAA tournament?

The Wahine are lucky UCSB had a few stumbles along the way as they are IMO the better team! Hawaii will need to make some major upgrades if they want to win the big west next year. If I was Hawaii’s first round opponent the only tape I’d be watching is both of UCSBs loses… And Purdue was a nemesis for Wisconsin, but I am not going to apologize for that title either!

From here on out, all the players on the Wahine will be Robyn's. Williams and Gong were the last of Shoji's players. I thought the 2019 Seniors was the last of Shoji players.

They’re actually lucky to make it in to the tournament really. The way UCSB played, I don’t know how they lost to the others in the conference. But then again, Wahine is still missing that true needed opposite.

Williams was “tech” a shoji player, as she was recruited primarily by him. But yes. 2019 was the last group to play for shoji.

There are 12 AQs within the cut line of about 45 and, so about 19-20 outside of it. May be one of them will be above UH now. So I think there are enough in the 60+ range to be 4 seeds that HI would be a 3 seed. But, weirder things have happened, especially with the regionalism required by NCAA to minimize flights.

no coverage of the senior ceremony on ESPN. I want a partial refund Yes, I want $1.25 refund. 😀. But seriously, I miss the days of Periscope where a fan could just stream the ceremony, or the days of free spectrum streaming with all of the coverage

If UCSB didn’t lose their games during conference play, it would’ve been a real battle for the champion ship.
