I'd be very surprised if the regionals weren't on ESPN2/ESPNU

I'd be very surprised if the regionals weren't on ESPN2 As mentioned a couple posts earlier, all but 2 of the regional semis are on espnu. The other two are on espn+ (according to ncaa website).

Texas needs to continue to run a fast offense. Washington is big and physical. And of course the passing. More thoughts later but for now Serve, Receive, Set. Texas is bigger and physicaller…🤣

Texas playing on an accessible television channel would be a huge upset. So would folks ceasing to whine about it . . .

Looking forward to this one! It’s been forever since these teams have met. I expect a Texas win as I think they have the guns to score out of system. And they have a very solid block, but hoping for a huskies win!

But pretty sure most of our verts are higher. And not all these players are in the rotation at once.

what bodes well for Washington is they are phenomenal at eeking out close games That’s last year’s Washington team. They haven’t played a five-set match since October 14 against Oregon. Since then, all of their matches have been sweeps (including their loss to UCLA) or 3-1 wins. They have started slow in a lot of matches, but that’s been less of a problem as the season has worn on. At some point in the middle of the season they seemed to get the message that they’re not required to spot the other team a set or two, and the UCLA match reminded them what can happen if they do. The team is plus at the service line and OOS, has a great setter, but and has a range of options in-system, although their main options (Drechsel, Hoffman, Grote on the slide) are not the caliber that the Huskies have had in recent years (Bajema, Vansant). Back-row defense is improved from last year (and keeps improving) but is not the team’s strength. Passing can be an adventure at times but I think that has also improved over the course of the season. They were in system a *lot* against Hawaii.

I now see from the stats page that she is playing. Will fix it.

The team that scores more points than the other team in three sets will win the match. I don't see a lot of reasons to try to play this match out in advance via volleytalk posts. But I know that's like stopping an avalanche after it has already started.

This is an odd post coming from a volleytalk legend. i can only imagine many of your posts contain pre-match discussions of matches.
