Texas is bigger and physicaller…🤣 Texas: Molly Phillips (6'5"), Brionne Butler (6'4"), Asjia O'Neal (6'3") UW: Lauren Sanders (6'4"), Marin Grote (6'4"), Lauren Sanders (6'4"), Samantha Drechsel (6'4"), Emoni Bush (6'3"), Sophie Summers (6'3") Heights may be similar but verticals….

Plus, you can be tall and not be an important piece of the overall team strategy on court.

All of those but Summers (maybe not the second Sanders either ) are starters for UW, so they are important pieces of the team strategy. Sanders is relied on more for her blocking. Bush is the OH2, so offensive choice 3 or 4, but also likely there for blocking as much as defense.

Most excellent graphic. Hats off to the TX athletic dept and whoever is manning the social media accounts.

I am disappointed to realize I have a medical appointment that will mean I can't watch this match or even follow it live.

If Washington can serve like they do consistently, they have a chance. They aren't use to this type of block.

I'm not huge on Coach Cook but he does a great job on coaching serving and implementation of a very detailed serving game-plan.

The team that scores more points than the other team in three sets will win the match. I don't see a lot of reasons to try to play this match out in advance via volleytalk posts. But I know that's like stopping an avalanche after it has already started. This is an odd post coming from a volleytalk legend. i can only imagine many of your posts contain pre-match discussions of matches. I’m with txvbcoach on this. Conjecture and opinions are lifeblood itself to volleytalk.

I am disappointed to realize I have a medical appointment that will mean I can't watch this match or even follow it live. Record it, then watch it later as though it were live, while avoiding VT.

This is a toss up to me. At this point in the season, whoever applies the most pressure consistently will win. Both teams can operate well OOS. In system, I think Texas has an edge. OOS, I give a slight edge to UW. I’ve got a lot of respect for this Husky team, not sure how this is a toss up however.
